Starting an interstellar security consulting company was supposed to be easy.

I dunno... maybe the series gets better? I just had a real hard time not drifting off to sleep or to other thoughts while listening to this... you would think robots and mechs fighting monsters could keep your attention. But not this time.

The characters were underdeveloped, the plot was somewhat confusing... it just felt like you were dropped into an already running show after 2 seasons, without any real explanation of what's going on, or why we care.

The character intro was a little cluncky. It really needed more of an origin point but it smoother out after the third or fourth chapter into a decent story.

Luke Daniels gives this the firefly feel from the series. I know the cruise not exactly the same but it gives it that nice warm feeling of that sci-fi scenario and I look forward to listening to the rest of the books.

Very good. Race and his team had to hunt for an alien in space. Lots of action and that characters are all so interesting. Well written and Luke Daniels as always brought the story to life with his awesome performance. Worth a credit.

The world building was good, solid tech and military elements. The limitations on planet and the adversary faced there were good. Audible performance was really solid.

All that being said, the dialogue was awkward and the ending felt contrived. Overall 3/5.

I had some time to kill before my credit arrived this was in the included titles I couldn't stop listening great story characters that seemed as real as my coworkers a lot of fun and eight more books to go
