About this listen

Zion moved to Sequoia after the suspicious death of her biological mother. In her will, Vivian Bradley left her a coffee shop, a cottage, and a new beginning. In return, Zion helped solve her murder.

Growing up, Zion knew she was adopted, but her adoptive parents, Joe and Gabi Sawyer, were enough for her. She never longed to find her biological family. In fact, she never thought to question who her father was or whether she had siblings she didn’t know about.

However, when a woman calls, claiming to be her long-lost sister, Zion has to decide if she wants anything to do with this unknown side of her family. Not only that, but her sister wants her help to prove their father did not commit murder.

Can Zion make peace with a man who never wanted to be her father? Can she save him from a murder conviction? More importantly, should she?

An Awesome Listen

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the narrator and extremely enjoyable. It's a new year and instead of planning their wedding, Zion and Tate are solving another murder after her half sister request her help to clear their father's name. If this isn't bad enough, a newspaper article turns Zion into a celebrity and the town is overrun with tourists. As always an awesome story with great characters that makes you laugh and cry, sometimes at the same moment. This combination of author and narrator is just pure enjoyment. Looking forward to the next book.

Such a nice change

I really love the addition of the sister. I also like how she had to go out of town to solve the latest murder involving her father. Can't wait to see what comes next.

Such a fun series!!

This is a fun and well written series. The narration is fantastic and the author grabs your interest from the start. You get chuckles and mystery all rolled in to one. Each book in the series makes you want to keep learning about the characters.

Family Reunion

I totally enjoy all the characters (they are like family) of Sequoia in this mystery series especially with the narration and was a long wait for this one. In this book the main characters are Zion Sawyer and Tate, Jaguar, her fun parents and several new ones. In this book Zion finds out she has a half sister Julia and her biological father was arrested for the death of his boss and her sister asks for her help. Recommend if you enjoy cozy funny mystery series but suggest you listen from the start to know the characters. I cannot wait for Cafe Amaretto, keep them coming. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. Thank you

Great Cozy Mystery

Story is easy to follow and Kelley Hazen's narration keeps you engaged in what is happening. You can read as a stand alone and not get lost but I love the whole series. I can't wait for the last one to come out in Audio.

Great Read

Chai Tea (A Zion Sawyer Cozy Mystery Book 9) was a great read by M.L. Hamilton. After the suspicious death of her biological mother, Zion moved to Sequoia. Vivian left her a coffee hop, a cottage, and a new beginning in her will. Zion just so happened to help solve her murder as well. Zion knew that she was adopted growing up but she always felt like her adoptive parents were enough for her. She never even questioned if she had any siblings through her father. But a woman calls her that claims to be her long-lost sister. She must decide if she ants anything to do with that side of her family. Unfortunately, her sister wants her to help prove that their father did not commit murder. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author.
