Publisher's summary

Eve Dallas is the tough lieutenant hot on his trail, but this is unlike any case she’s ever been assigned - or any killer she’s ever pursued. A police sketch based on eye-witness testimony reveals the killer has green skin, swollen red eyes, goblin ears, and a dislocated jaw-structure that defies the human form. Is it a mask? Is it make-up? Or is the explanation more sinister? Dallas faces off against multiple suspects - all of them students of medicine capable of precisely slicing the ears, noses, and eyes of the three victims. But who had the motive? More importantly, what kind of rogue science are these healers practicing?

Quirky but brilliant

As always JD Robb doesn't fail to entertain, certainly made my cleaning much more entertaining.

Can't get enough

What did you love best about Chaos in Death?

The killer wasn't obvious but didn't come out of nowhere either, that's the best.

What did you like best about this story?

Jekel & Hyde angle

What about Susan Ericksen’s performance did you like?

It wouldn't be an Eve Dallas story without Susan, she IS the characters' voice. I lover her intensity, she really pulls me into the story.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

These books always make me laugh, I love the banter and snarky comments.

Any additional comments?

This was shorter than most of the books in the series, but I like one that I can finish in one day off and on. Didn't take away from the story at all.

Another great read/listen

This performer is so enjoyable! The story was tight, and I always enjoy the side stories with friends, etc.

As always, AWESOME

What about Susan Ericksen’s performance did you like?

I have listened to this "series" twice and enjoyed the second go around as much as the first. Looking forward to not only the next book, but also lisitening to the series in another couple years.

I love the death series

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would not need to if they were reading the series they would read it...

What does Susan Ericksen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She is one of my favorite readers, I wish more she more....

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Nora Roberts is one the best fiction writers and her characters are alive while you are listening

Remember that this is a short book.

I know many have judged this book poorly, but it is the shortness of the book, not the lack of the writer that makes this book disappointing. Having read two others in the series just as short I was expecting the disappointment, but was still looking forward to the book. It was fast and I longed for more, but it is still wroth the $$ like all the book in this series.

Another perfect one!

All the audiobooks in this series are done to perfection by the great talent of Susan Erickson. She is probably one of the best narrators out there and makes you feel like you are part of the story, just sitting at the shoulder of Eve Dallas observing everything. A++
