Intriguing murder mystery

This is an intriguing murder mystery that keeps you guessing who the killer is. It is a well written, smooth paced detective story that keeps your attention all the way through. The characters are very likeable and you soon become attached to Det. Brown, who has to deal with his own health issues as he tries to put the various pieces together and capture the killer before he murders again. The narrator of the audiobook fits the book well and did a great job of giving individual voices to the various characters. It is an enjoyable, gripping story and I will look forward to the next in the series. I received the audiobook at no cost and under no obligation.

Another triumph for Dalglish

I love John Dalglish's city homicide books and especially this one. Cop on the verge of retirement trying to solve one last case before he goes. Well written and great narration.

The reader has odd inflections.

struggled because of the reader... strange inflection made it difficult to listen and follow the story

Nicely done

Another enjoyable listen from John Dalglish. This is a different series from the one I was listening to before, and I actually liked this narrator better. Nothing wrong with the man narrating the Jason Strong series, but this gent has a very calming voice.

Liked the story. Nice twists and turns, established characters, comfortable in their own stories. Very pleasant overall

bit it's better than I could write

Oh, my. Such a simplistic attempt at writing a mystery. Kind of fun to listen to, in spite of amazing holes in solving the crime.
