Publisher's summary

From Wall Street Journal and USA Today Best-Selling Author M. Robinson

A single glance.

A fleeting moment.

A solitary touch could make everything worth it.

This was my breaking point.

This was where I lost myself completely.

I did the only thing that made sense.

The only thing I had left to give.

I begged her....

To take me with her.

It’s a very heart felt story

I will say I read the reviews and I agree that it is a VERY slow burn. Here’s where we differ. All of the story was needed to get to the ending. The one thing I will say is the ending was good but a little weird which I don’t really know how to feel about. All in all though, it was well written and flowed really well and I don’t regret using two credits on this book.

My heart is full.

Such a beautiful duet. So full of feeling and angst. My heart is full. Now I need to devour Jackson’s story!!!!

The narration was so much better one the first book

Marcio didn’t even pronounce his characters sons name correctly at first. Addison Barnes dropped in and out of the Hispanic accent. Which was distracting. She got better toward the end.

3.5/4 stars

3.5 or 4 stars for me. I was quite conflicted with the whole mess. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions with these 2, Aiden and Cami. I don’t know if I am missing something here if there was a book before Pierced Hearts duet series but I was more into Aiden and Bailey love story v.s. Aiden & Cami’s love story. Now, it doesn’t mean this story wasn’t great but essentially I wasn’t too fond of Camila. Getting to know her more in the 2nd book, I don’t know what but she just doesn’t seem likable character. I did not feel any connection she had with Aiden or the kids for some reason. They did spend years together and yes, I am happy their relationship wasn’t based on lust/sex alone. They did somewhat grow as one but I just didn’t read between the lines. I guess sometimes, when you do read, you want to be the main character & be part of it but this book, I was more of the audience, sitting back eating popcorn and that’s okay.

Overall, It’s really probably because I didn’t dig Camila very much. She was a bit displeasing for my taste as a woman...she seems dumbfounded. It must be her age? In time, there is plenty of angst, a lot of life lessons learned, and you finally solve the mystery of what happened to Bailey.
