About this listen

Opposites attract in the third Ace Security novel from New York Times bestselling author Susan Stoker.

Bailey Hampton will do whatever it takes to keep both herself and her little brother safe from the vicious Inca Boyz gang. Hiding out in Castle Rock, Colorado, is only a temporary solution until she can earn enough money to get out of the state altogether. But when she meets handsome security nerd Nathan Anderson, she discovers a reason to stay and fight for what she wants.

Ace Security's Nathan Anderson has always been the "numbers guy," not the man any of the firm's clients look to when their safety is threatened. But from the first time he ran into Bailey, she never made him feel like less of a protector than his brothers. Nathan was attracted to the petite, black-haired pixie with wild tattoos from the start, and by some miracle, she seems to return his interest.

But danger stalks Bailey and her brother, so it's up to Nathan to channel his inner alpha and find a way to end the threat to their lives once and for all - and he's not giving up Bailey without a fight.

Not my usual romance hero, but loved anyway!

I can't say much without spoilers, but this book has twists on the usual romance story lines. The main characters are not quite like any in the couple hundred romance novels I have listened to in the last few years, and I loved it!

great feel good story

it was a great feel good story. the two main characters were so endearing and sweet. I love that Susan Stoker doesnt make her security team all buff ex military types. It's so played out. I could always tell where the story was going which can be sometimes disappointing because I like a little mystery but this story was still able to hold my attention. This story had A LOT of feeling and discussions on feelings, that, I skimmed over. I dont think I'll continue with the series because this is more romance, than action and passion, which I typically read. But I would recommend, at the very least, the first three books in this series.

Nathan's story.

Really enjoying this series. This book in the series was nice as Nathan is a nerd and not the buff super soldier so many heroes are. Bailey has escaped from the gang but she knows eventually Damon would find her. How they outsmart him is fantastic. The ending nicely sets up the next book which I can't wait to read.

Love the characters

I fast forward through a lot of the sex scenes, they were too long. Other than that the stories or excellent.

Series continues

Just can't bring myself to give these books 5 stars, they're so predictable. But, can't stop from going to the next installment. In this one I think Stoker went a little overboard with Nathan's "nerdy". Didn't like how she totally branched him off from his triplet brothers. It was really disappointing for me.
