About this listen

A Wall Street Journal and Amazon Charts bestseller.

All defenses are down in the fifth Ace Security novel from New York Times bestselling author Susan Stoker.

Sarah Butler isn’t flattered. She’s angry and unnerved. She’s been getting intimate gifts from a man she barely knows. Nothing threatening yet, but there’s just a weird vibe she can’t ignore. Her recourse is Ace Security. Their solution: self-defense lessons at Rock Hard Gym with a personal, hands-on instructor. One look at the bearded, tattooed, green-eyed alpha is enough to take Sarah’s breath away.

Cole Johnson is definitely the man for the job. He’s eager to train her. Eager to get closer. And when it comes to Sarah’s instincts, Cole knows she’s not imagining things. He’s also not imagining the intense attraction between them - and his desire to protect her is growing. But so are Sarah’s fears, the worst of which come true when she disappears.

Enlisting the help of Ace Security, Cole will stop at nothing to find the love of his life...before she vanishes forever.

Different but amazing in its own way!

I love this book more then the rest of this series. It is at a different speed then the others. My heart goes out to the "villain" in this book. I love how she didn't have the same rhythm of writing the way other authors do in a series that it starts to be easy to predict what is going to happen. This book wasn't as stressful as the others were and it was nice to enjoy.

I love this author so much. That this is my 65 book of hers and counting. I am so excited when new books of her come out. She is a very strong author and she knows how to transport you to new locations. I get so excited when she talks about people from her other series.

Entertaining

I love Susan Stoker and her sexy strong heroes. This was no different. very sweet read. The men once again come to the rescue of the never weak but in need of a bit of help heroine.

Meh!

I liked it but it was kind of boring I guess for me. It took me days to finish it. can't really pin point exactly what was the thing that made it boring. Saying that I do love the series.

So Good!

I love how Susan Stoker writes male characters. They are so manly and sexy but also sweet and sensitive. Cole and Sarah were beautiful together and I enjoyed this story. They definitely started out got and heavy and everything happened so fast but it was still enjoyable. This was a great series! Shout out to Erin Bennett for the wonder narration.

Takes a while to start.

It seemed to take a while to get to the action and I had to make myself hang in there, but than it got better. Cole is not like the other alpha males from pass stories, but he fits the part. Sarah is different also and they fit each other very well. Sarah finds herself kidnapped by a man with a very low IQ. He is a man/child and he is really just alone because his mother, (Çaretaker) , has died. Those alpha males of pass stories, (Ace Security), put their skills together and go after Sarah to bring her home. They do, and everything works out. Sarah has a good pure heart and you know she understands why this man/child has chosen her to run away with. He only wants someone to take care of him. I just didn't want to see this man hurt. He truly didn't understand why he couldn't just take the woman he wanted to replace his mother. Not the best in the series, but always nice to see what is happening with all supporting cast members.

An excellent addition to the Ace Security series. This completes the main characters' stories. Cole is a wonderful Alpha protector and Sarah is almost to good to be true. The make a terrific couple. Sarah's admirer is a surprise. I really liked the twist.

Erin Bennett did a great job bringing the story to life.

CAPTIVATING!

from beginning to end the story is hard to pause. you'll want to know what happens next. I have to say, though, that the performance needs more than 5 stars.

Good author, weak Heroine, overbearing hero.

I read Claiming Grace ages ago, book one in this series. I drive a lot, so I go through alot of audio books. I purposely avoided reading the next 3 books in this series, but I was going on a road trip, and did not have time to find another one, so I gave in and downloaded this book. I very quickly remembered why I haven't done the others yet. The author did a very good job, it was very well written. The narrator did a very good job, But I just cannot do the Alpha Male books. I spend my whole time rolling my eyes, saying "oh would you shut up already", or saying "of course", as I did during this book. If you do not like the books where the female character is week, cries a lot, and has the whole Pity Me attitude, you will not enjoy this. If you do not like the books where the man makes all the decisions for the female, she always thinks about if he will like it or not before she makes ANY move, and he calls all of the shots, making decisuons for her without consulting her, you will not like this book. I do enjoy the books were the male character is a good guy and he takes care of the female character, But not to this extent. I feel the main male character Was very overbearing, and the female was very weak. I dont enjoy books where they're in loooove within months time and wanting to start a family. Sentences like "Cole had refused to allow her" and "they'd probably fight, and shed probably cry 🙄 when things got crazy" just annoy me. This has nothing to do with the author's writing, she did a very good job, but if you do not like the overbearing alpha male books, you may want to skip this one.
