About this listen

There's only one vampire Sookie Stackhouse is involved with - at least voluntarily - and that's Bill. But recently he's been a little distant - in another state distant. His sinister and sexy boss, Eric, has an idea where to find him, and next thing Sookie knows she's off to Jackson, Mississippi, to mingle with the underworld at Club Dead.

It's a dangerous little haunt where the elusive vampire society can go to chill out and suck down some Type O - but when Sookie finally finds Bill caught in an act of serious betrayal, she's not sure whether to save him or to sharpen some stakes.

Johanna Parker rocks

What made the experience of listening to Club Dead the most enjoyable?

I have enjoyed all the Sookie Stackhouse books, but it doesn't matter if a book is fantastic with an awesome plot and excellent writing if the reader isn't up to par. Fortunately Johanna Parker is fantastic in this series. Her accent is pleasant, she doesn't overact and (thank god) her voice doesn't go funny when doing men's or children's voices.

Loved It

Any additional comments?

Great narration. I like to list this first as it can make or break a story.

Loved this story. Easy listerning and very entertaining. Will be impatiently waiting for any new books in audio from this author.

I really enjoy it when readers with similar reading interests list their favourite authors and series. It really helps me find new authors too follow. Mine are Charlaine Harris, Jeaniene Frost, Jennifer Estep, Faith Hunter, Molly Harper, Ilona Andrews, Kresley Cole, Deborah Harkness, Nalini Singh, Coreene Callahan and Sherrilyn Kenyon.

Happy Reading

Page-turner

This is one of my favourites among Sookie Stackhouse books: there's drama (oh, Bill!), there's action (real stakes in real flesh) and there's romance (Alcide the Werewolf - now that one you have to meet). Johanna Parker great as usual. This is a real page-turner (so to speak ;)).

One of my favourites

This is one of my favourite Sookie sagas. It's a move away from the vampires & into other supernaturals. Johanna Parker is the best narrator too & really adds to the enjoyment.

Fangtastic!!!

The novels are always so hilarious. I find myself laughing out loud so many times (the HBO series is darker and more thrilling). Charlaine Harris and the narrator Johanna Parker make a dynamic duo that will keep you listening and wanting more.
