About this listen

I was minding my own business at my new job as a child life specialist when the sexiest doctor in the hospital fell into my lap...literally.

He was every woman’s fantasy, the Adonis in a white coat was charming, not to mention brilliant.

Dr. Andrew “Drew” Montgomery was quite the catch, not the usual type of guy who I’d expect to fall for a woman like me.

The first man who saw past my wheelchair, Drew was also the first man I could see myself settling down with.

We started dating, and everything seemed fine, but something was holding him back, Drew was married to his job and he carried the weight of his namesake. A name I wasn’t sure I could live up to.

I meant to keep my guard up, but it was no use. I was in over my head the moment his gorgeous blue eyes thoroughly examined me.

I knew my body was in good hands, but could I trust my heart with the cocky doctor?

This was more emotional than I was expecting. And there were times where I was thinking that I was more interested in their jobs, rather than their relationship. There wasn't really any conflict between them, and it made their story seem a bit boring to me. Besides the patients, it was the audiobook narration that saved this one for me. Without that, I'm not sure that I would have finished, as I just wasn't into them as a couple.

This book is a great addition to the Cocky Hero Club. I really enjoyed that the characters were flawed and not the typical romance perfection that we sometimes find in this genre.

Great narrators and story

This was such a nice loving story. I really enjoyed the progression of Megan & Drew’s story. If your looking for a smooth no drama love story this is it. I found it refreshing how supportive of each other they were.
Narration was awesome by Jacob Morgan although I listen to anything he does. ANYTHING!! Lucy Rivers Ok, not the worst not the best. At times she sounded like a computer generated voice. Which is why I took a star away. If Jacob read the entire thing stars across the board. Love his voice!!

Super Sweet Love Story

I was excited to listen to this book as I rarely see romance novels where the heroine is in a wheelchair. The book was good, but it grazed over a lot of reality and seemed a little too good to be true - even for a genre where an hea is expected. I think delving onto the difficulties they both struggle with would have helped make this 5 stars. Jacob Morgan was great as always, but the female narrator didn’t seem at the same level.

Nice to see a romance about a woman in wheelchair, but...

My first “Cocky” book. Such a good job of telling the love story of Drew and Megan. Neither one perfect, but perfect together. The narrators did a great job.

Well, what a great story line. The characters involve a pediatric heart surgeon who is part of old money and is drop dead gorgeous tall, sexy, compassionate, unpretentious, down to earth and loving. The female is a gorgeous girl with cerebral palsy, who has an awesome positive outlook to life who is trained to work with children who have serious illnesses, helping them to deal with procedures,,etc. Her personality is a great match to this doctor’s & his needs. He’s tired of the superficial, money-bunnies on the hunt and while he enjoyed to antics in the store room or on-call room he was sick of what came with those one & done’s.
For a different story line with no drama, steam and a different view of life with someone seriously disabled. Don’t miss this one. I’ve personally made my career working with the disabled and found this SO REFRESHING! Life with this couple really is how it is with many in the same boat. Kudo’s to the author.

So I love love Jacob Morgan and could listen to his chapters but the female voice in the story is hard to listen to - she almost sounds like a recorded operator. I wish another female lead voice executed the story because I think I would have listened further. I didn’t finish :(

Female lead voice was hard to listen to :( ugh I love Jacob Morgan too

I was really looking forward to listening to a good sexy story. It had Jacob Morgan as the male narrator, so I assumed it would be good.
Boy! Was I wrong. I couldn't finish this because I already knew the ending. The female was too perfect and understanding.
The whole story was actually kind of boring in its perfectness.
I was even disappointed in how Jacob Morgan narrated. He "read" the story vs performing the story. Maybe he was bored with it too.

What a disappointment
