Publisher's summary

Yosemite trail rider Natalie Coleman takes a group out one day and a bear comes out of the woods heading right for them. Natalie must try to save her group as well as a lone rider who comes out of the woods unaware of the danger facing him. Wes Evans was out to study owls that day but instead is bucked off his horse and knocked unconscious before he barely knows what is happening. Natalie takes him to the clinic in Yosemite Village where the doctor tells her he has amnesia and she has to care for him because he hasn't the room to keep him there.

In the days to follow, ordinary turns magical as Natalie and Wes weave a spell around each other. With fishing in the stream behind her cabin, cooking together, and discovering other common ground, two lonely people become a little less lonely. The world seems brighter and maybe a future is even possible.

Enter parents, job complications, and a conniving former lover to insert turmoil into their charming world. Will Wes become alarmed when the amnesia finally lifts and he has to face the life he left behind? Will that life include Natalie?

A cute amnesia romance at Yosemite

Cool Water is a cute romance about a trail guide who ends up taking care of a professor with amnesia. As a Reno native, I enjoyed the references to places I have been. Unfortunately much of the story doesn’t ring true and raised eyebrows. For instance, when they contact the university where the man worked, the university is not able to give any of the man’s info due to privacy laws, but surely someone at the university would have been able to contact his family. And wouldn’t someone contact the police in this situation? And what doctor would send a random patient home with a single woman to take care of?

The narrator does a good job with the story.

I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Romance on horseback

Definitely an unusual way to meet. While some may complain that the story line isn't quite realistic, I read for entertainment not facts. Besides truth is usually stranger than fiction. A sweet romantic tale with one steamy scene which I wished I could skip over. Not as easy to do when listening as it is when turning the pages. Pleasant tale and I hope to read other books by this author.

Cool Water

This is an interesting story. Wes looses his memory and Natalie helps him while he's recovering. This book has a way to pull you in and keeps you interested. They are strangers then friends than more than his memory comes back and everything changes. I thought Stacie Melotte did an excellent job narrating this book. I received a copy of this book from audiobooks unleashed but that has no influence on my review. If this review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below. Thank you.
