About this listen
Don't you wish you had a magical device that could tell you everything that's going on in your child's head?
It's a lovely Sunday morning, and you had a nice quiet stroll in the park in mind, but your little one had other plans….
Barely three minutes into your stroll, unconsolable crying, screaming, flailing, and utter chaos ensue—and nothing you do seems to be helping. Now everyone's staring at you and making you feel like you're the worst parent ever.
You think to yourself…. If only you could talk to your kid and find out what the problem is—but you can't. Besides, you're probably thinking they're too young to even know what's actually bothering them themselves, let alone articulate their feelings to you.
According to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, “When we ignore our feelings it creates a 'boomerang' effect where the emotions will just come back later, and sometimes even stronger than they were before.”—And this is true for children, too.
As most of us know from experience, the emotional baggage we have from our childhood can be difficult, if not impossible to get rid of. And for some of us, this weight can be so unbearable that it keeps us from moving forward and getting anywhere in life.
The good news is…you can do things differently for your child. You can raise them to master their emotions—and be the master of their own destiny! —And with no fancy tools, tutors, or training required…just you, a little time and patience…and this book!
This easy-to-digest parenting book is filled with information and practical advice from a child speech and language therapist with over two decades of experience.
In this handy guide, you will discover:
- The secret to never having to go through another tantrum again—learn how to get your child to tell you what they're feeling

Social play, especially team games, is a great experience that encourages kids to lead or support their teammates, and provides a wealth of opportunities to share, take turns, and show respect for others. It is an excellent way of encouraging children to learn and practice all the skills required by working together. Studies have shown that playing social games, especially for social and collaborative children, can lead to more pro-social behaviors that are positive, helpful, and aimed toward social acceptance and friendship among children.

Critical Parenting Skills - Help Your Child Thrive
How to help your children thrive and improve your parenting skills. If you are worried about their future, you must read this book. Activities are focused on building the emotional intelligence of children. Practical communication skills for parents are essential for parents raising young children. Communication is just not limited to verbal cues. It is essential to identify emotions even from body language. When our children are growing up, they do not have the language skills to communicate what they are feeling effectively. As a parent, we must look at facial expressions to interpret them. Our communication skills must include looking for role models. I remember trying to shave because my dad was doing it.
The focus of this book is to help improve parent-child relationships. The book discusses multiple activities and strategies. It is an easy-to-listen-to audiobook filled with practical advice from a child speech and language therapist with over two decades of experience. I liked the section on identifying your child’s triggers and about teaching your child the basics of body language and why it is essential to control your body language as a parent. The purchase also includes a 5-Day Video Training Bonus. All parents need to listen to this book. I sent a copy to the expecting parents of my grandchildren. Well-worth the investment of time and money.

Give them the best start
The author’s description hit me hard; as I was once the parent that could be seen giving in to my tantrum throwing toddler when he wanted ice cream!
But the fact is; the seemingly impossible is possible - your little one/s can discover how to master their emotions. And it doesn’t have be tough, either.
Wallis expertly narrates her way through powerful topics such as triggers, body language, and more, as the reader is encouraged to hone in on these potential life-changing methods.
This book really made it clear to me that emotional intelligence can be worked on at any age. Bravo.

A Must Have Resouce for Parents Raising Thier Kids
This audiobook is well-written and narrated professionally. The topic and information in the audiobook are significant because so many kids are struggling with a lack of confidence and becoming followers in situations that do not favor their well-being. They then find themselves in harmful and sometimes life-threatening conditions. In addition, bullying is prominent and has resulted in suicide and loss of lives. The author uses methods of engagement with the child for the growth and development of emotional behavior. Parents and children play an active role and thereby take ownership of outcomes. This is a great approach, and many kids desire structure. I like that overall accountability is expected from a foundational perspective. Parent involvement allows feedback and monitoring in a positive fashion. There are numerous games and exercises to work with as a team. This audiobook will be a great reference for years to come.
