About this listen
Did you know that women only currently make up around 25 percent of the C-Suite? And they lead less than 10 percent of Fortune 500 companies? Hard to believe right? But things are slowly starting to change, and people are starting to realize that women can bring qualities to the table that men simply can’t.
In the past, men have been given so many more opportunities to progress. And women have had to watch opportunities pass them by, stuck in the same management role for years on end. This has been a real confidence breaker for many women, something you may resonate with. Yet deep down, you know you have the qualities to take your career to the next level, just like your male colleagues have.
And it is women like you that can take your organization to the next level. You just need the skills to become a greater leader, and most importantly, to believe in yourself. Remember, you have earned every right to be there! Don’t let those opportunities pass you by any longer.
In this book, you will discover how to effectively lead in your own business or work your way to the top of your company.
Many people believe that leadership is about titles, status, and power over people. But it is the opposite of this. Leaders are people who walk alongside their team and hold themselves accountable for recognizing the potential in people and developing that to the fullest. They inspire and influence, motivate and empathize.
Many also think that you are born to lead. However, this is not true. Whilst there are people who are born with natural abilities that align to great leadership, many of these traits can be learned.
So even if you feel like imposter syndrome is getting in the way of you growing a team or you find it hard to speak up in meetings, this book will teach you how to kick that imposter syndrome to the curb and train yourself to speak confidently in meetings. You’ll also learn the importance of emotional intelligence in successful leadership and why developing a high performing team is so important.
In She’s the Boss, you’ll learn:
- The traits that make a great leader.
- Traits that give women an advantage over men.
- The secrets of successful female leaders.
- The differences between management and leadership.
- About the different leadership styles and how to utilize yours within your team.
- How to overcome the stumbling blocks for female leaders.
- How to develop a high performing team.
- How to manage your time effectively.
- How to overcome imposter syndrome.
- Tips on leading in a post-covid world.
Plus much more!
Whether you are an ambitious manager and know you want to progress to a leadership role but need some guidance in getting there, or you are someone who knows you will make a great leader but are lacking in confidence, this book will provide you with all the skills you need to get there. You’ll learn the exact steps to get your desired recognition, promotion, and success.
Or maybe you have started your own business and have never led a team before.
The hacks, tools, skills, and expert tips you’ll acquire from this book will ensure you step into a high-level position fearlessly, without allowing the gender card to hold you back.
Written with aspiring female leaders in mind, this book contains all the advice you need to become a great leader in the 21st century. Let’s kick those statistics in the butt!

Story
From working as clerks and secretaries in the 1950s, women today are now holding top positions in the world’s largest corporations. Yet women remain vastly underrepresented in leadership roles, making up only 5 percent of Fortune 500 CEOs and 10 percent of top management positions in S&P 1500 companies, despite accounting for 47 percent of the labor workforce. The reason for this has nothing to do with intelligence, skills, or personality. Biases, gender expectations, and discrimination are definitely major contributing factors.

If you’re interested in making money with stocks, you’re not alone. A recent Gallup poll showed that nearly 6 in 10 American adults have money in the stock market. But unless you’ve previously worked as an investment banker, you might have better odds of making money at the casino than with stocks. In fact, researchers from the University of California found that 90 percent of retail investors and day traders lose money. Which is why most people think winning in the stock market is simply a game of chance.

A LOT OF USEFUL INFORMATION
The book SHE'S THE BOSS is fantastic; it is full of practical suggestions and straightforward advice for every aspiring female leader.
According to the former publishing professional, the book requires a little editing and proofreading to advance it to the top tier.
But don't wait to read this worthwhile book while that's getting done. There are several great pearls of wisdom in this article, such as the following: "fail better," "managers focus on tasks while leaders focus on the team," and "turn mistakes into gold."
Here's to being an excellent boss and leader while still being yourself.
Although leadership is difficult, the author notes that it is particularly difficult for women. This is due to the absence of female role models.

Informative
She's the Boss: This book is extremely informative. This book promotes and supports women leadership. I agree that as a manager myself that it is important to own your leadership style. Like the author mentioned that as a leader you must use our head and heart, Using our head is ensuring that your intended practical part from the conversation is achieved. While, with your heart ensure to connect with people in a human level. If you want to lead and progress professional you need to read this book. Great narration!

A Woman’s Choice of Leadership
Samantha Novak as the narrator and Noelle Ingram are an effective audio production team in the well-written book designed to help prospective and current female business owners succeed. It is full of proven research-based tools and strategies.
In this book, the author explains the differences between management and leadership. As a former officer of the Marines, I know for a fact that not everyone is born a leader. I know from personal experience that a leader can be developed with the right instruction and mentorship. There are not only different leadership styles but also a time and place to use each leadership style. A good leader needs an inventory of resources to keep up-to-date on which tools are working and which ones to leave behind. The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in the dropping of previous effective methods. I like that this book is directed toward women. I will use this in my classroom and give it to female students to empower them. I highly recommend this audiobook to anyone who wants to take their career to the next level and become a successful leader in their field. This book will benefit all genders, especially men leading and developing females within their organization.
