Publisher's summary

The gripping new psychological thriller from the best-selling author of After Anna and Killing Kate.

Imitation is the most terrifying form of flattery....

Which Sarah Havenant is you?

When an old friend gets in touch, Sarah Havenant discovers that there are two Facebook profiles in her name. One is hers. The other she has never seen.

But everything in it is accurate. Photos of her friends, her husband, her kids. Photos from the day before. Photos of her new kitchen. Photos taken inside her house.

And this is just the beginning. Because whoever has set up the second profile has been waiting for Sarah to find it. And now that she has, her life will no longer be her own....

slowwwwwwww...zzzzzzz.

Not worthy. Not exciting. Not interesting. Vapid and time consuming plot to nowhere. Bad ending.

Amazing

This book was great right from the start! A little something different than the usual. Great domestic noir!

Okay...

Interesting concept and good narration, but a bit too stretched, implausible, and convenient. An easy read.

Could have skipped chapters...

The story & plot were ok. But I believe the story could have been told, with more intensity, by shortening some of the outside actions. I tend to enjoy getting to the heart of the matter and skip the fluff.

very weak

First of all.. The Maine accent is a very unique accent so why they chose a British narrator who had the worst American accents I've ever heard is beyond me. Her high pitch tone was also really obnoxious. So 2 stars for the narration alone, at least for this particular book.

Now, onto the story line. I'm not sure if the bad guy was supposed to be as obvious as it was or not but I knew who it was really early on in the story so when it was revealed it was a major let down because the aha moment wasn't there. It was all very anticlimactic.

Lastly, the epilogue felt unfinished. Not unfinished in the sense of it left you wanting more but in the sense of why even bother with it because it added no value to the story what so ever. The whole book felt really juvenile.. I had hoped for more.

Freaked me out

This book really had me thinking. People are crazy and you never know how far they'll go. Definitely a good story, narrator did a great job. Worth the money so don't pass this one by. 😀😀😀

Good but not fabulous 3 .5

as always there will be no spoilers in my reviews
I wanted to enjoy this book more but it started to fall a little short after less than half the book.
I however still did enjoy it . felt like I wanted more of a backstory than I was given.
aside from the actual book I had Major Issues with the low volume that it was recorded at. I had an extremely hard time hearing it at full volume. even my echo dot couldn't make it any better. I was unfortunately forced to plug into a sound bar at Full Volume to listen . that was disappointing because it limited my options for playback . I believe I will speak to audible about this matter as it was such an issue. perhaps it can be adjusted for future purchases of this book

Narrator Choice

I usually don’t write reviews as I feel that everyone is entitled to their own opinion of the book and just because I didn’t like it doesn’t mean someone else won’t. But the narrator choice in this book was... confusing. The main character is American, but they chose a British narrator, whose American accent was not good. I found the story line meh but it may also been because I’ve read too many psychological thrillers recently. If you’re someone who is highly distracted by narrator issues, don’t get this book
