About this listen

A terrorist attack in the news leaves Nameless reeling from a disturbing vision. But it’s not a glimpse of the future. It’s a recovered memory that’s opening a window into his mysterious past.

Uncharacteristically forthcoming—and unexpectedly personal—Nameless’s handlers have no choice but to emerge from the shadows. The indoctrinating factions of his visions are growing in number. What’s more, their chilling symbol of totalitarian control is now linked to the highest powers in the country. As his memories begin to break through, is Nameless prepared to face who he really is and defeat the encroaching madness of the future?

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Dean Koontz comes Corkscrew, part 5 of Season 2 of Nameless, a gripping collection of stories about a man in search of the truth, the past, and those who owe a debt of blood. Follow him through each story, which can be read or listened to in a single sitting.

I hope there truly is a Nameless!

It occurred to me as I listened to the end of this story that I hope there is a "Nameless". Not necessarily an assassin looking to expose truth at the root of evil, although in our current times we surely need one. But more so, I mean a man spreading hope to the hard working people who are the backbone of our country. I remember seeing an article about a large anonymous tipper in Colorado so maybe Dean is on to something or someone. I can only continue to listen and hope! I strongly recommend this book and it's series!

Meh

This has to be my least favorite in the Nameless series out of all of season 1 and up to this book in season 2.

Great listen

This was some kind of story, the killer is some kind of person, the ending is great. I thought this was a great short story with excitement, thrills and even a few chills. It really was and exciting awesome listen. It sure is a sad story that touched my soul.

The narrator is great, give true emotion, dryness when needs, character voices are good, you always know who is talking and what they are feeling. There are no background noise, no repeating of words just a delightful clear audio that made me feel like I was right there watching it has it was played out.

Learned more about Nameless

The reader learns a little more about Nameless and the organization he works for. This mission was more about gaining information than eliminating someone. Corkscrew worm - what a creepy thought as a means of torture and death. Good read.

Corkscrew Book 5

Another great installment in the Nameless series. Dean Koontz is at the top of his game with this series, Edoardo Ballerini is also the best possible narrator for this series as well. Recommended for some smart listening.

What’s up with Ace?

Is Ace unraveling, or is it Nameless and his memory block? This fifth book from Season 2 furthers the shift the story arc has been taking to less of Nameless’ mission and more of his past and organization supporting him. For me, the more that is revealed about the origination and Nameless past makes me want to binge listen to the remainder of the story for season 2. As usual Eldorado Ballerini’s expert narration brings Nameless and the story to life.
