About this listen

From the writer of Pretty Woman, a magical sci-fi adventure to a dazzling universe that will inspire your heart and soul.

"Brothers and sisters, I have made salvation my calling and I have many inspiring tales to tell, but the one I will pass on to you this day will touch you, teach you, and uplift you like none other..."

On a distant planet, a battered rocket ship is parked outside a portable revival tent. Beyond the airlock, a traveling minister speaks to the local congregation. Brother Ray, a former space smuggler, con man, and wanted fugitive, tells an amazing story of salvation. His own.

2nd Best Essentially Love Story

As a Christian I'm familiar with the actual events upon which this tale of selfless and essential love is based. I am therefore amazed that a Hollywood-familiar author would subject himself to the likely disdain of his contemporaries by the mentioning of God, revivals, an afterlife, a qualification of wealth versus worth, and the under-valued correlation to those of life and love.

From my perspective, the story has a few glaring inconsistencies with reality, but isn't that the license of storytellers? It is, in any case, an imaginative, beautiful and humanly probative story of a traveler sharing his experiences for the mutual benefits of his audience.

For this I thank the protagonist - for his last choices, and the author for the protagonists' situation, memories, and options, as well as for his own and considerable real life courage, creativity, moral selections and unpolluted use of language.

Just Spent Two Hours with a Fantastic Tale!

Put in your ear pods, set enjoyment phasers to stun and your speed to 1.25 and you're in for a great ride! I expected no less from the writer of the movies "Pretty Woman" and "Under Siege," but now JF Lawton has conquered new territory with a sci-fi work full of love, hope and mystery. (I listen to all Audibles at 1.25 -- it adds a little adrenaline rush!) I'm pretty sure I smell a movie in the works -- but decide for yourself under the big top of the Celestial Revival: this is a must-listen!
