About this listen

I have a crush on my new neighbor. The one who everyone hates.

I know all the rumors in the neighborhood. Andrew Mason is rich. He’s gorgeous. He’s a recluse. He’s a genius. He’s a jerk. The sign he puts on his porch on Halloween makes all of the kids cry.

Oh, and a car crash seven years ago left him in a wheelchair.

He seems to think that’s going to put me off.

I’m determined to get his attention, though he doesn’t want company. I can’t help it. I want to know what makes a man so beautiful and so complicated tick. I want to know what goes on in his brilliant, good-looking head. I want to know if his muscles feel as awesome as they look. I want to break down his defenses.

But if I can break down Andrew’s defenses, then he can break down mine. What starts out as a battle of wits becomes…something more. Something hotter. Something neither of us expected.

When two damaged people crash into each other, they either destroy each other...or they fall in love.

Good story

The story is good, as is the series, in spite of the plot being somewhat underdeveloped. The narrators both did a wonderful job. I do but like the cover art on the front of the book. The male model seems to be a good ideation of the character, but why in the world did the pick a very pregnant model in lingerie, as the depiction of Tessa? This is misleading and in poor taste. I almost skipped the book because I did not want to read / hear a story of a 7/8 month pregnant woman in lingerie putting the moves on a man she is just getting to know. I only went back to this suggestion because it was the next in the series and I had ti see what happened to Andrew. Glad I did give it a chance…And, no, Tessa ( the leading female character ) was not pregnant at any time in the story.

I Liked It!

I must admit that after reading book one, and having enjoyed so much, I thought this book would top it, not desolution, but I preferred book one more. yes, there were some hylarious and sad moments in this story that, indeed topped book one. this is an inspirational book, that gave me hope as to what can be achieved by attempting to live life. Love the characters and enjoyed the writer's style, again, by pacing the story, instead of rushing it. Of course Joe Arden was terrific as always and continued to enjoyed Lessa Lamb narration

Learning to love

This is a great listen about a young man that has lost the use of his legs from a car crash and a young woman that has never had a reason to trust anyone in her life but is finally learning to love not only a man but herself.

Andrew has isolated himself from the world for seven years until the beautiful neighbor next door finally brings him out of his shell. He and Tessa have both had difficult things in their life but together they make it work.

Joe Arden and Lessa Lamb are great narrating this book. First Joe is the perfect person to be the broody Andrew. His voice is so good to listen to and he gives the character just what he needs. Lessa is also perfect for Tessa. She gives her that young and unsure feel that is definitely Tessa. I really enjoyed listening to both of them.

Loved this book and highly recommend it. Great characters and they both have chemistry and the attraction is immediate. Well written and enjoyable.

Amazing narration, wonderful love sorry.

I loved both narrators for their parts. Such a great listen. The sorry and the characters were also likable. Would’ve loved to get to know them even better!
