About this listen

Weeks became months, and months became years. Each day nudged Kason deeper into his addiction. Each memory of the girl destroyed fed the craving for what he could never have again.

Leaving a life-altering first love behind, Adaline tried moving forward to find love and trust and happiness. Pain eventually faded, wounds slowly healed, yet scars were forever left behind.

But some scars feel like kisses. When the shattered pieces of their hearts are forced to meet again, the two of them must decide how much pain their love is worth enduring.

This is what happens when one person loves beyond the craving and the other craves beyond the loving.

Wow what a ride!!

I went through so many emotions but my last one was happiness!! The only thing I can say about ens if the story is I wish there would have been something about mikea (not sure if the spelling) having a happy ending but I’m just going to think he fell in love and is very happy!!

Shredded!!

OMG- I looooove this book. I debated on getting it bcz I was a little bored with the first book about 1/2bt bcz EK Blair is one of my favorite authors - not to mention that I love BOTH narrators, I couldn't pass it up any longer. First let me say, Jacob Morgan KILLED IT with the emotion in this book. SebYo doesn't even come close to the intensity Jacob portrayes as Kayson. Sorry- not sorry! Gosh he was soooo heartbroken; I was too! Made me wanna slap the shit outta Adi! Honestly, I didn't like her character in book 2 at all. SHE (and Kayson's addiction) was the cause of him not having any friends. I get why she pushed him away but she should've confided in Kayson and trusted in their love but chose another route. For some reason I still feel like I'm missing something from what happened to her. I really hope there's another book in the series. Trent and Micha deserve their own story. Anyway- this book had me so conflicted about the choices the heroine made and who was hurt in the end. IDK- it's fiction but definitely a good freggin book!

him with the acting.

Feeling Ady’s pain

Once again I find myself blown away by the narrator’s performances. Jacob Morgan and Elena Wolfe are both so very talented. Together they make a great team enhancing my listening experience. There is no better way to experience a book of this intensity then by the skilled voices of Jacob and Elena.

A Very Emotional Story!

This was a very engaging and highly emotional story. I spent most of the book being unhappy with all the heartbreak and poor choices being made by the characters but I suppose that happens in real life all the time as well. I didn't see how this was going to end happily for everyone or maybe even anyone, but the ending was better than I anticipated it would be. Both narrators were very good, but Jacob was amazing at showing Kason's wide range of emotions. I will definitely listen to this series again and would recommend it to anyone.

Wow, what a turn!

I honestly didn't see that plot twist coming. I didn't think the story would take that kind of path. I usually don't care for love triangles, but at the same time, it needs to be done well. Because if not, it'll turn me off and I don't enjoy the story as much as I wanted. Thankfully, this wasn't one of those.
Part 2 immediately starts where Part 1 leaves off. It's also been a few months since I read the first part. I still remembered alot of what happened, so I knew going in, what had happened at the end. I was actually shaking my head at the end of book 1 because I saw it coming and said "oh boy... Here we go".
Ady did drive me crazy for the majority of the book. But to keep in perspective, she was a college freshman (and before the last few chapters in part 1, a high school senior)... So it's kind of to be expected she's going to make some "not so great choices". But at times I just wanted to shake her and just say "CONFESS AND LET IT ALL OUT! YOU WILL FEEL SOOO MUCH BETTER. I PROMISE. IT WILL GET BETTER!!". Maybe not THAT dramatic, but something to that effect. ;)
I loved the audiobook- I think it was done fantastically. Both narrators NAILED emotions! I love when narrators can really make a story come to life... And that's what I think these narrators were able to do.
You have those books that yes, its an audiobook... Yeah, it's a great audio... But then you have those that really capture the emotions and feel of the story. This was one of those. I can only imagine Part 1 is similiar to this one (I just read the e-book, so I can't compare the audios for Part 1 and 2).
Overall, I love E.K. Blair's books. There's only 2 books I haven't gotten to yet (one being her newest release). But I love her writing. Definitely not for everyone as she usually has tough subjects.. And a trilogy that is VERY dark in my opinion...
Another amazing book from E.K. Blair.. I'm excited to catch up!

Took me a few hours to collect myself after

Im so shaken by Elena Wolfe’s and Jacob Morgan’s performance. They have completely recked me. Every nuance, every breath, every tear, every gasp, every smile captivated me completely. This story was cathartic for me and helped me confront so many of my own feelings and experiences . Its like E.k. Blair knows me and decided to write my biography. I cried and cried till i could not cry anymore. Who writes like this? This gut wrenching prose . Thank you Ms Blair , Elena and Jacob for this experience. It is the highest art form to create something that makes each member of your audience feel it was created just for them. You gave me a voice by telling this story and Im so grateful.

Great story! Jacob Morgan is really a talented voice actor! He made me cry a couple times because of the pain in his voice.

HATE HER

Adaline deserves no one. This girl pissed me off from the beginning. Yes something bad happened to her, but what she put these 2 guys through was just as devastating. These books were depressing.
