However, keep in mind that ADHD is a condition, not a life sentence. It’s entirely possible for your young one to succeed because of their condition–not despite it. The key is learning how to address your child’s condition properly and consistently at the soonest time possible–the earlier you manage it, the higher their chances of success and happiness.

It’s because they lack essential study skills and inside knowledge. Your courses focus on your subject—as they should…. But there’s a wealth of other information you’re missing out on that could make the difference between a pass and a fail.

Whenever Amy McCready mentions the "entitlement epidemic" to a group of parents, she is inevitably met with eye rolls, nodding heads, and loaded comments about affected children. It seems everywhere one looks, there are preschoolers who only behave in the grocery store for a treat, narcissistic teenagers posting selfies across all forms of social media, and adult children living off their parents. Parenting expert Amy McCready reveals in this book that the solution is to help kids develop healthy attitudes in life.

Great book for teachers and classroom managers.
This book was interesting. Understanding the psychological and mental aspects of how a classroom could be setup was enlightening. I remember the Fung Shui movement for basic offices well this takes it to another level!

Culture of Learning and Caring
I have been a public school math teacher for 19 years. I have also been a Model School Field Expert, Accreditation Visiting Committee Team member, and Chairperson during that time. Although most of my time has been with secondary schools, the information in this book applies to all classrooms. Classroom management is even more essential than the curriculum.
Teachers must prepare a design and build their classroom for a great new year. You will need these tips, advice, and strategies to guide your work and help you to avoid common pitfalls.
It is critical to building a culture and climate of learning that makes students feel safe and welcome from the very first day of the school year. Thanks for sharing your experience with other educators.

A handy preparatory guide for a learning space
From twenty-five years of experience, the author has shared her invaluable experience. The book gives you insight into creating classroom space where the kids can physically express themselves and are comfortable learning and connecting with one another. There is so much to take away from this book, whether in or out of the classroom. Some of the topics that were covered included, being mindful, sharing ideas with colleagues, displaying favorite artwork, and labelling your assets.
Most of the suggestions can be applied in anybody's life like getting everything prepared, buying posters, and making the room as perfect as it could probably be. Young teachers would be more than grateful for the experience shared in this book by the author. A well-researched, well-thought-out book to give you all that you need to create a conducive teaching space where the pupils find very easy to learn.

Well done
Just before the pandemic, I stated homeschooling my kids and it reminded me of the crucial role teachers play in their student lives. The book is divided into two sections: physical building classroom and preparing for activities.
I could relate to the author getting everything prepared, buying posters. And making the room as perfect as it could probably be but most if all I forgot that I was one of the most important aspects of my kids learning. That hit me hard and had me thinking.
It has a lot of good ideas that are both practical and insightful. I particularly liked the sections on creating a healthy emotional space in the classroom which as a result will create a safe and healthy learning environment.
Other thing worth mentioning is the well written style and easy to follow blueprint, it’s straight to the point without all the fluff. A must have for any parents, teachers, or administrators. Well done!!!

Great listen and well organized
My favorite thing about this audiobook is the conciseness. There are 25 short sections giving tips that when practically implemented, increase the engagement of students. My cousin is a 2nd year school teacher. I will definitely be recommending this audiobook to her.

A comprehensive classroom preparation guide
Amy Moore has written a tremendous compendium of essential tips for teachers in setting up a classroom. After 25 years' experience in doing this, she has a lot of well-organized, and well-thought-out advice. Anyone can benefit from it, whether in or out of the classroom, thanks to tips on topics like being mindful, sharing ideas with colleagues, displaying favorite artwork, and labeling your assets.
Many of these suggestions can be applied in anybody's life. But young teachers will be immensely grateful for the author's large spirit of sharing, and for her organized, active mind. The stories from the classroom are my favorite part, though, like how organizing a reading nook turned into a private gum-chewing student lounge when proper teacher sight lines were not maintained. The story of a student, when spotted by the author chewing bubble gum, suddenly shouting out "it's not my gum," was a highlight. But there are many enjoyable grace notes to enjoy in this invaluable book!
