About this listen

It is 1905, and Chicago is an open town. The most accessible part of town is the Levee District. It is an area of the city that's hard to tell the crooks from the cops. There are brothels, madams, opium dens, gambling joints and plenty of alcohol, but it all comes at a price in the Levee, and the two Ward Aldermen get their share of every vice's dollar. With the hanging of serial killer, Simon Kluge, police Detective Patrick Moses is suddenly without a case. Before Moses can relax, he is approached by an aging retail mogul who asks him to investigate the mysterious shooting of his son.

As Moses gets deeper into both cases, he realizes that in the Levee there are a lot of people who don't want the two cases solved, including the police and the Ward Aldermen.

Chicago 1903

A police procedural set in 1903 Chicago. Police are tasked with finding a missing woman, what they get is several murders, drug dealers, and a white slavery ring. Dishonest politicians interfere at every turn. I was gifted this from 'Black Rose Writing'.

A great narrator and a great blog makes for a grea

When detective Moses and his partner Detective Gunther solve The high profile case of the serial killer doctor Cluesh, He is been called upon by downtown to solve the kidnapping and white slavery of young girls in the lovely district where he is a detective. A high society young lady has gone missing Isabell Rotimi and that is now his day job, but then he was asked by Marshall feels himself to look into the “suicide“ of Marshall Junior. As if he doesn’t have enough to do his favorite prostitute almost overdoses then what is start investigating these cases although they are both high profile cases there are not as far from the dirty lovely district as he wanted to believe. This book is so good I enjoyed from beginning to end and didn’t want to stop listening. I love the narrators voice is soothing tone make this a very enjoyable lesson that along with the plot make this a great audiobook.
