About this listen

Maeve Murphy doesn't have much to celebrate this holiday season. Ten years ago, she moved from Kingsford with no intention of returning. But home came calling, in the form of her mother's unexpected death. The least thing Maeve wants is to make friends—she's only back in Kingsford to help her father keep the family business, Murph's, afloat.

Bianca Rossi, whose father is the chef at Murph's, moved to Kingsford four years ago from the hustle and bustle of New York City. She loves everything about the charming little river town, and her positive attitude and willingness to engage is usually reciprocated by the Kingsford locals.

Maeve's been resistant to Bianca's attempts to strike up a friendship so far, but a little holiday magic may be just the thing they need to push them both in the right direction.

Contains mature themes.

So enjoyed

I lived the way the story line went with someone not knowing they were missing something so important and finding it.
So enjoy Lori Prince

Cuffing Season

My first holiday read of the year, and I'm so glad it was this one!

Bianca and Maeve are so cute together. At first, it seemed like they were stand-offish with each other, but as they started to spend time together, they really hit it off. Throw in some home-town comfort, holiday fun, and good family and friends to make this story a great winter romance ❤️

Great book

Excellent story, well written I loved the MC. Narration as usual was excellent, Lori Prince with her talent to give sound to each of the characters helped the book to come alive.

cute story

quite a nice experience overall. the story was good (even though a bit predictable) and was enjoyable! the narrator was great for most of it when it was just characters internal thoughts or sean descriptions. the narrator didn't do as well with dialogues between characters. it seemed to me the two main characters voices change, and it was hard to keep track of. the voices for the male characters were... a bit distracting. some of them were ok, but some just sounded really forced and were a bit distracting from the story.
even though the narration could have improvements, it was still a fun listen and I would recommend!
