About this listen

Lucy Parsons wants absolutely nothing to do with the Westmoore family or the maple syrup they produce. When Sierra Westmoore blows back into town after her father's death and tries to rent a room at Lucy's family's bed-and-breakfast, The Maple Inn, Lucy kicks her out on the spot. It doesn't matter that Sierra hasn't set foot in Maple Run in fifteen years—the Westmoores are not allowed.

But small towns don't leave a lot of room to hide, and Sierra and her brother, Drake, have set their sights on improving the town's opinion of them now that their father is gone.

Lucy doesn't believe any Westmoore could have good intentions, and although she may have to play nice with Sierra, it doesn't mean she's going to like it.

Contains mature themes.

How often do we get the chance to undo the harm our parents have done?

This is a lovely romance built around love and and second chances to undo the harm one person has done to a community and his own family.
Lori Prince is the perfect narrator for this very serious story, because she has the ability to lift spirits with her infusion of humor, passion, and humanity.
Other reviewers here will recount every thing so that you do not have to even listen to the story. I won’t!
However, if you, like many others, are addicted to love stories, involving wonderful characters who are strong without being cold. Loving without being caricatures. Forgiving yet complex.
I am sure you will find this to be worth your opening your mind and heart and of course the time when you need a lift.

different coming out stories

I love how Monica depicts people's different stories and experiences with quietness in her books. a story about first impressions, assumptions and how those cab often be so different, if we dig a little deeper. Loved the setting of a small town and community. her exploration of children and what they bring to our world also a welcome facet. Recommend

Sweet sapphic autumn romance

Tapping into Love by Monica McCallan is the perfect cozy, fall romance set in a charming small town with all the vibes of a Hallmark movie but with more sass, slow-burn chemistry, and a touch of enemies-to-lovers tension. The audiobook, narrated by the always fantastic Lori Prince, elevates this story, making it a delightful listen for anyone craving a light-hearted yet emotional romance.

Lucy Parsons wants nothing to do with the Westmoore family or their maple syrup business, and when Sierra Westmoore returns to town after fifteen years, Lucy’s first instinct is to kick her out of her family’s bed-and-breakfast. But Sierra, determined to rebuild her family’s reputation, won’t be so easily dismissed. What follows is a wonderful slow-burn romance between two women who start as enemies but slowly find themselves drawn to each other despite the weight of their families' complicated history.

The small-town atmosphere is one of my favorite things in Tapping into Love. The tight-knit community, nosy neighbors, and fall activities like maple syrup production set the perfect backdrop for this cozy enemies-to-lovers tale. The palpable chemistry between Lucy and Sierra builds gradually, making the slow-burn dynamic even more satisfying as they navigate their emotional walls and lingering tension.

Monica McCallan strikes the perfect balance of sweet and sexy in this novel, with lovable characters and a heartwarming best-friend dynamic that adds even more charm to the story. Lucy’s distrust of Sierra—and Sierra’s determination to prove she’s different from her father—create a delicious tension that kept me hooked from start to finish. And, of course, no small-town romance is complete without a supportive and often hilarious community of side characters, which McCallan delivers in spades.

Lori Prince’s narration is once again a highlight. Her ability to capture the nuances of the characters and their emotional journeys adds depth to the story. Prince’s voice brings both Lucy’s prickliness and Sierra’s softer side to life, making the audiobook an even more engaging experience. The combo of McCallan’s writing and Prince’s narration is a winning one, and I’m always excited when they team up for a story.

If you’re looking for a perfect fall romance to warm your heart as the leaves turn, Tapping into Love is an excellent pick. With its small-town charm, enemies-to-lovers dynamic, and slow-burn romance, this book is a delightful listen that will leave you feeling cozy and content. Definitely a must-read (or listen!) to kick off the fall season

A perfect Hallmark movie!

The story is well-crafted with humorous banter, descriptive writing and engaging protagonists. I really enjoyed both Monica McCallan's storytelling and Lori Prince's narration. They were a perfect pair!
