About this listen

DCI Morgan confronts a personal crisis when retirement looms. Meanwhile, crime doesn’t stop. The discovery of a body, found with a fish in his mouth, sparks a murder hunt.

In this, the fourth of J. J. Kennard’s short murder mysteries, Morgan feels he should be on the case, but his chief has other ideas. Sent to solve a crime from the property of Lady Reeve, a jaded and reluctant Morgan gets his last chance to do some police work whilst learning how the other half lives.

Felt like a classic British detective episode

A little dry British humor between DCI Morgan and his partner.
A little murder with a signature twist.
A little flirtation with a dame smoking a cig.
Nice flavor even if the mystery didn’t have enough clues or twists for me to buy the reveal.
