A few of these stories were good. One of them was appalling. The book was kind of enjoyable.

Ok Book.

Content was so so but generally written from male characters' perspectives so a female narrator really doesn't work for this. Also she has a very neutral tone for horror content.

Wrong Narrator for these Stories

The stories are trite, hackneyed, and entirely derivative. The reader is not as completely awful as some of the other reviewers have stated, but it does have any irritating nasal quality that I could tone out after a while. But since the book is written pretty much with a male voice, she was a completely inappropriate choice for reader.

Pretty Bad

This was a bunch of short scary stories! This is exact what I was hoping it would be. Not disappointed at all!

Right up my alley!

An amazing collection of stories, (at a great price), strung together by a recurring theme that pops up in unexpected places from beginning to end. For me, these are like no other stories I'm familiar with and I enjoyed them greatly. There is some gore and a bit of sexual content, so if those things bother you, you might want to steer clear. However, if you're looking for short stories that are genuinely terrifying, this could be your book.

Lile I said, the stories are good some are even awesome. This narrator drives me bats*#t crazy! She sounds like a monotone robot or the digital elevator vouce announcing the floor it stopped on!????! Sample, sample sample is my mantra to all Audiable or digital book users! Because this was a "freebie" courtesy of the Audiable Plus Catalog, I didn't obey my first rule, SAMPLE! IDK man, it wasn't horrible- I think if one is prepared for this narrator that the book would be far more enjoyable! (Cliff Barlow is a excellent author of the macabre and horror as these short tales exhibit!)

GOOD STORIES HORRIBLE NARRATION!

The narrator ruined what would have been good stories. inflections were off sometimes monotone sometimes sing song. emphasis was in the wrong places in the sentencing. I was unable to get into the stories because the narration was so irritating

narration is not good

Had to slow speed down to .9. I didn’t care how the stories ended so abruptly and went immediately on to the next one. None of scared me at all.

the stories were chilling, but the narrator took a singular too fast, almost happy tone the whole time. I need to feel the fear in sentences like ". I'm glad I didn't see the baby's head hit the wall". she sounded like a complaining teen, and not like any character that was portrayed. I can't finish the stories.

good stories, worst delivery ever
