About this listen

Darwin's theory of evolution is accepted by most educated Americans as simple fact. This easy acceptance, however, hides from us the many ways in which evolution - as an idea - shapes our thinking about a great many things. What if this idea is wrong? What if "evolution" is just a word that covers up scientific ignorance of how the wonders of the living world could have been created?

Berkeley law professor Phillip Johnson looks at the evidence for Darwinistic evolution the way a lawyer would - with a cold dispassionate eye for logic and proof. His discovery is that scientists have put the cart before the horse. They prematurely accepted Darwin's theory as fact and have been scrambling to find evidence for it - mostly unsuccessfully. As the evidentiary difficulties have piled up, scientists have clung to the theory out of fear of encouraging religious fundamentalism, and in the process have turned belief in Darwinism into their own religion.

Read This After Michael Behe's...

The Edge Of Evolution, which will give you the detailed science behind the argument against Darwinian macro-evolution before you read the coordinated logical problems with Darwin's theory, which are presented in this book. Johnson's presentation is clear and thoughtful and logical, and simply points out what the macro-evolutionists can no longer hide: Darwin's theory of the ultimate origin of life simply doesn't work. (The rapidity with which Dawkins' little trolls rush in to give negative votes to positive reviews of such books as this shows how scary the truth can be. Vote away!)

Darwin on Trial - A logical look at Darwinism

What made the experience of listening to Darwin on Trial the most enjoyable?

I read this book several times, but with the audible version, I can listen while commuting.

Any additional comments?

Apparently, this is the start of the whole ID movement

Mankind, has embraced lies in place of the truth!

This writer reveals how easy it is for academia to feed lies to an unsuspecting public, who holds the educated in such high esteem.
The Reader's Queen's English accent made this a very enjoyable read! Highly recommended just because of this along with the brain opening content.

loved it

I'm glad I'm finally hearing some of the opposing view points of darwinism and evolution. evolution always seems like such a complete idea until you start looking at the parts. then you realize, they still don't have much of clue.

Audio is hard to listen to

Strong British accent, long sentences and writing style makes this hard to listen to. For example: “tautology” was pronounced “tortology.” “What did he just say?” is what I am constantly asking myself. Information is good though. Conclusion: You will also want a written format.

FANTASTIC - DEFINITELY WORTH A LISTEN

This book is excellent!!!.
Phillip Johnson clearly and methodically explores the Evolution controversy and presents the issue in a manner which removes the fog and produces clarity.

The Evolutionary Nazis will hate this book because it clearly and forcefully documents the deception which is being thrust upon our teenagers in the science classroom. Johnson spends time to define what is meant by "Evolution" and explains the difference between Micro evolution, which is observable science, and Darwinian/Macro evolution which is not observable and is believed by faith.

Johnson documents the case that Micro evolution is scientifically supportable but Macro evolution is not.

I thoroughly recommend this book to all who care about the deception being perpetrated onto trusting teens.

This book dovetails well with another Audible.com free book Kansas School Board - Evolutionary Hearings. These hearings contain the testimony of many prominent scientists who dissent from Darwinism and give convincing scientific evidence against Darwinian/Macro evolution.

A must if you want a clear understanding of the scientific issues surrounding Darwinism as a theory.

Well presented

Presented a good background of the philosophy of evolution and did a nice job of making the point that evolution is a hypothesis that has 'above the law' of scientific evidence.

Irrefutable logic

Irrefutable logic.
Very well written, as should be expected from a lawyer, point of view about Darwinism and it's religious beliefs.

Confirms Darwinism is a belief system, not a fact

This book is an excellent resource for those wanting to know the myths of Darwinism, confirming it is a secular belief system rather than confirmed science.
