Better than I expected

I expected this to be a meh book at best. However, I felt that this story could actually happen during a zombie apocalypse made it that much better. The tactics used in the book are realistic, it had a realistic ending and not we won against all odd made it better for me.

Terrible narrator

Narrator was awful. Story was soso. Unfinished story line. But what do you expect when it’s free. I hope they don’t use this for paid books.

The AI narrator

I think I would like the book, but the AI narrator is boring. The reading is choppy and when it changes to first person, there is no life in the voice.

Read by Ai ruined story

AI voice reading is horrible, it ruined the book for me. I love this author but won't buy any more of the AI read books, flat monotone no feelings, like hearing the emotion of the story teller.

Refreshing circle back to the beginning of the outbreak

Again with the aggressive over use of some vocab I find as trying as speed bump or pot hole in an otherwise smooth road. Kudos on the weaving aspect of the story telling.

interesting listen

This was my first automated listen, and although the voice was pleasing to the ear, I miss the intonation that a human usually gives.

I am glad all of these were together since the endings each segment were, well just that, segmented. It was an interesting storyline and I actually liked the fact that by the end I didn't know who to root for, the military or the militia.

Good story. Get a real narrator.

I liked the story. it advanced the world, it felt like a great continuation of the Dead America books. However, AI narration is terrible. same monotonous voice for every character, mispronounced words, no inflection, no pausing for dramatic moments. It made it really hard to keep going. There where times the droning of the voice was so dull I zoned out and had to rewind a bit just to catch back up with the details. Please, no more AI narration.
