About this listen

The world as we know it ended on October 7th, 2011. There were few survivors as the virus spread to the four corners of the Earth. Those unfortunate enough to contract it joined the hordes of flesh-eating undead. It wasn't long before the dead outnumbered the living a hundred to one.

Shane and the rest of the survivors can't live off the museum forever. The food is almost gone; madness is beginning to set in. It's time to go outside, to search for some kind of life, to survive as best they can for as long as possible.

The frost has thawed....

This is the end of the line.

Best Yet.

Of all three books, this one has been my favourite and I think it's because we get a lot more character development and get a deeper look into each.

Poor Shane, after learning the faith of his family, he goes deeper into himself till he can resolve a certain issue. Once done, the gang decide to hit the road since supplies are dwindling. Along the way, they bump into more characters, but these aren't the type you want to turn your back on. Can the gang survive the ravenous Zombies and backstabbing shady characters to find a safe haven?

River is one kick ass, odd child!!! She is tougher than some of the men and braver than most. I was totally rooting for her and loved her character. Two of the new characters were absolutely horrible but one of them is so intriguing and I hope we get a back story on him!

The plot of this is fast paced and engrossing. I really felt for the crew and my heart nearly broke for them, Shane especially. The Zombie action mightn't be as prevalent as in other books but what we see of them is as good as ever.

Luke Smiths narration was just as good as the previous 3. He has a clear and concise voice that's easy to listen to. He also had tones and voices for each character and brought the tenseness to life.

GOOD SERIES!

What did you love best about Dead Line?

The colorful writing...Adam has a few choice phrases, and some fave words..and I just have to giggle about it!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Shane

What about Luke Smith’s performance did you like?

I like Luke...he does creepy well, and he comes across as genuine...

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Both

Any additional comments?

** I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review **

This has been a very good series from book 1...Shane is a good man, even if this starts with him in prison, he was not a violent criminal...and he is smart and good hearted! On this quest, Shane, Terry and Dr Marla are just trying to survive. They now have a sassy kid in tow named River and are on the road again to find safety and survivors..the people they come across are not very nice..and they may not all make it in the end!

Good Story, and Good Narration..I recommend the series!!

This is a good follow up book in the series It is very light on the horror, zombies, but heavy on characters. The first book I liked it so much because there was a nice balance of action to character development. Book 2 is good too

Not much to it

Sorry I could not give a better review, it was a MEH series for me, I stuck through it for the whole series despite not caring for the 1st book. The narrator was not good at voices, they were either whisper voices (pack a day smokers like), or whiney. lots of breathing and gasping not related to the story. Very predictable plot and story line and nothing original or relatable. lots of bad editing issues too. Sorry but not as good as some others I have read. Sorry bud
