Publisher's summary

A hated outsider. A shocking death. And everyone has a reason for murder....

DCI Harry Grimm is settling into the rhythms of Yorkshire. Though he knows the idyllic rural landscape can hide dark deeds, the methodical investigator trusts his colleagues to guard his back. And it’s easy to keep dodging discussions about the future when he’s called to a crime scene with a body that’s missing both hands.

Identifying the victim as a city property developer who moved to the countryside, Grimm links him to a recent meeting about the affordable housing crisis. And learning the deceased man had angered too many locals to count, the determined detective and his team labor to eliminate an endless list of suspects.

Can Grimm bring the case home, or will the clever killer slip through his fingers?

Dead Man's Hands is the enthralling 15th book in the DCI Harry Grimm Crime Thrillers series. If you like imposing heroes, fast-paced mysteries, and gruesome theatrics, then you’ll adore David J. Gatward’s grisly clues. Buy Dead Man's Hands to grasp at the truth today!

Perfect for fans of L. J. Ross, J. D. Kirk, Adam Croft, Simon McCleave, Alex Smith, J. M. Dalgliesh, J. E. Mayhew, and J. R. Ellis.

A great story

This is probably the deepest of the novels about Harryy Grimm. The relationships among the detectives our complex, and it helps to have read the other novels to understand this. A great read!

Each book is better than the last one, wonderful

I had a good idea who the murderer was right away but that did not spoil the wonderful story telling, amazing narration, and delightful cast of characters. Looking forward to the next book.

Another great read!

I have listened to the entire Grimm series and love them all. What books weren't on Audible I read, I believe only one or two. I love listening to the stories. With an excellent narrator like Aubrey Parsons it pulls you deeper into the story and its like your a bystander there in the story seeing and hearing what is going on. It's truly a different experience. I love the dry humor, not many crime fiction has it but it makes it so much more real. It makes the characters very human and thats what makes this series so great to listen to. Talk about feeling these folks are real....... I'm concerned about what Gordy decides to do! And what about Grace? And that's only those two, there are a few more questions to be answered!!! Now I am going to have to wait for the next book and I just hope that it comes out soon and in Audible and most importantly that Aubrey Parsons is our narrator.
Thank you for another great book...........can you write a little faster please? All of us are now waiting. You do realize all your fans have now finished reading or listening to this book, right? We will start getting restless within another day or two.
I recommend not only this book but the entire series to anyone who loves a good story.

Another Grimm, Another fantastic novel

My favorite author, my favorite series and my favorite narrator. Dead Man's Hands was excellent and I can't wait to read Book 16. When you get into the series you can't wait until the next book to see where David Gatward is going to take his characters. If you want to be sucked into an addictive series start with Grimm Up North and get ready to book your trip to Wensleydale to follow in the footsteps of Harry!

Writing and narration is superb

Mr Gatward writes such a descriptive story I feel like I’m there. I love Harry and the team, and the investigations they deal with. The other thing that is wonderful about these stories is Mr Gatward’s love of The Dales. I Jane never been there, but feel sure that when I am able to visit I will be very familiar with the area and the villages. Thank you!
