Publisher's summary

Everything hangs by the thinnest of threads. In a Dead world, nothing is certain and nobody is safe. Friends have fallen; some enemies have been defeated only to be replaced by yet another. As the first year of the zombie apocalypse ends and a new year begins, can a person hope that the coming of spring can be a starting point for re-birth? If not... then what is the point of trying to survive? Fates will be sealed and destinies decided as winter finally fades, the darkness recedes and gives way to... Dead: Spring.

Awesome! Love this series

What made the experience of listening to Dead: Spring the most enjoyable?

I loved it all! I liked that when people started stepping over their moral lines they have been keeping that they actually did something about trying to fix it and get back to themselves. I really like how the stories do seem to circle right close to each other without the different groups really intermingling.

Who was your favorite character and why?

There are so many that i like that it's hard to choose a favorite. I really do like hearing about the Emily Zombie, i was very sad when she became a zombie and am happy to hear about her and the changes that are starting to take place in her, although unbelievable at times, but i can definitely see where it would make sense if thought about.

Which scene was your favorite?

In the store, where Billy really takes charge for the first time, without feeling so self conscious like he has in the past. I know he is a young "kid" but in this type of life people have to grow up fast or they die and i do really like who his character is developing into and the scene in the store with the bad guys really starts to show him as a leader.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There are always parts that make me laugh, Dr Zahn being one of the main characters that makes me laugh. She is just so blunt while still caring for people. I did almost cry in a few parts, like when Emily Zombie first was talked about, her passing hurt when it happened in a previous book, but to hear of her and remember is a bit heartbreaking. Doubting Thomas...on the road, made me tear up.

Any additional comments?

The Children Zombies... i wanna know more!! lol :) I can't help but be interested what they will be like in 10 years, 15, 20 etc.

amazing!

T W Brown's Dead: Spring is the ninth book in a series about a zombie apocalypse and different perspectives. This book is about finding new homes, saying goodbye to some and hello to the new. It's about realizing your new existence and truth and fighting to survive. It's still utterly amazing.

Narrator eally brought the characters' personalities out and the story came to life. Great job. Love it!

Just gets better and better

What did you like best about this story?

If you've made it this far into the series you know why you keep coming back - the story is just really GOOD and continues to be fun and interesting along the way. Some of the same types of things may come up that you've seen in zombie stories before- but each time, TWB does a great job of personalizing the problems for each of the characters. I can't wait until audio book 10. Looking forward to more stories!

a good listen.

Would you listen to Dead: Spring again? Why?

yes I would because the book tells a good zombie tale.

What other book might you compare Dead: Spring to and why?

zombie sanctuary is the book I would compare this book to.

Have you listened to any of Andrew McFerrin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

no I guess I messed up in that I heard the last book without hearing the preceeding books.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

no way too long for that but was nice cause I got 3 days out of it while working...better than listening to music all day.

Any additional comments?

did not read any of story before this book and was able to jump in and understand it all except the talk of what happened earlier in story about some military guy they met but it was not hard to figure out that this guy doublecrossed them and they were upset about it.

Starting to get a little far fetched.

Very good series, although some of the events that happen in this book are becoming a little far fetched.

what else to say?

The five stars for overall, performance and story are telling (audible). Readers (in my case listeners) who have made it so far don't need to be told anything more. TWB is great!!!

Another amazing edition to the DEAD world!

What an amazing adventure! I cannot wait for the next chapter in this epic! With the wonderful collection of storylines, and the best narration I've ever heard, this book has literally consumed the entirety of my free time the past few days. As with the eight books before it, this was an absolute treat. Please, keep'em coming!!
