About this listen

It is a world beyond her wildest dreams - and her worst nightmares.…

Nic Wright has one purpose in this godforsaken life: to save her brother, Drew, from his demons. He may be a junkie, but he’s all Nic’s got. And she’ll be damned if she’s going to let anyone - or anything - take him away from her.

When Drew is dragged into Hell by soul-thirsty fiends, Nic doesn’t think twice about going in after him. She’ll need a guide, of course, and who better than Arden of the Asmodai, the arrogant, sexy Prince of the Nine Hells? He’s in the market for a willing human to deliver to the Fourth Level of Hell. And Nic, desperate to rescue Drew, will do nicely. But Arden didn’t count on Nic’s powerful will - or his own desire. Now he will take any risk, tell any lie necessary to keep her safe. To possess her. Forever…

Narrator Tried Too Hard

This was an excellent book! The story was very interesting and it was hard to stop listening. The only critique I have regards the narrator. Jill Redfield. She was trying way too hard to fully enunciate each word to the point where, in some cases, it sounded like she said something different. (if you listen closely.) It was overkill. Furthermore, there were MANY places where her emphasis was COMPLETELY and UNDENIABLY incorrect to the point where it actually changed the meaning of the sentence she was reading.... I get that as a narrator you need to speak clearly, but there IS such a thing as trying too hard.

In my opinion, the narrator took away from the story a bit.

As far as the book itself, I'm just disappointed there isn't a follow up book. The story was left open and I really want to know what happens next!

Wish there was a second book!

I really liked this book. There was a lot of detail and Mrs. Easton did a fabulous job painting pictures of the different levels of hell. I only wish there was a second book or a longer ending that concluded this story. That's the only reason why I gave it 3 stars. So many questions left unanswered. I love the characters and can only hope the author writes another book with Arden and Nick.

It was ok...

This was ok... there where great moments, boring moments, agnsty moments...even funny moments.... but nothing spectacular!

Crazy concept, girl needs to travel to hell to get her brother back... and called the demon Prince of hell to aid her. That is pretty much the jist... good but not great.

Narration was ok... not a buy... but maybe a credit or sale.

this book was trash

save your money did not invest I'm sure the author has a couple of good books out there this is not one of them to paraphrase a movie what you wrote here was complete and utter garbage so dumb in fact that you have made everyone who has read it a bit stupider by reading it, I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

Demons - bad and good

Any additional comments?

This was a different take on what we are used to with the Demon world but the story didn't really hold my interest. I never really believed in their romance. I think Arden is portrayed as a demon pretty well but I never felt like he truly loves Nic or that Nic truly loves him. They have hot sex, but the emotions didn’t carry forth to me. How was it possible that she could want him so much when she despised him. This frustrated me. They would get intimate, and then hate each other, then get intimate, then hate each other. Until finally they got intimate and realized they loved each other. It just didn't work for me. While I was intrigued by the plot/mystery in the first half of the book, I lost interest in the second half.

*When Nic’s brother goes missing, she decides to do anything to find him, even if that means calling up a demon. Well the demon part is purely an accident. She starts reading from an old text and all of a sudden, a sexy guy is in her room. Stunned, she knocks him out, but not for long. Arden is a demon and a very sexy one at that. After doing some investigating, he knows who took her brother, the very bad demon named Sorro. Sorro lives in the fourth level of hell, a very dangerous place that Arden doesn’t want to go to. (Arden lives on the first level with his brothers and father. A pretty nice demon actually - well, as nice as demons can truly be). Arden decides he will help her under the condition that Nic sleeps with him when all is said and done. He also secretly plans to use Nic as a means to become a full demon. He wants to get her to the fourth, hand her over and embrace his full powers.
