Indulge in this duet narration performed deliciously by Shane East and Andi Arndt!

Let me just say -- none of this was supposed to happen.

I didn't expect the letter to go viral. I didn't think anyone would figure out who Dear Sexy Ex was. And I especially never thought he would find out about it.

Yeah, bit of a miscalculation there.

But see, I need the money to fund my brand new venture. And Dear Sexy Ex, well, it turns out he needs me to save his business.

By becoming his fake fiancée.

Yup, that's the pickle I find myself in -- pretending to be madly in love with the charming, brilliant, and utterly infuriating man known as Dear Sexy Ex.

Only, it's not an act. And he can never know....

The audiobook includes special appearances from Tim Paige, Christian Fox and Kit Swann!

It's Always Been You

Overall 4.5 stars
Performance 5 stars
Story 4 stars

Dear Sexy Ex-Boyfriend was such a wonderful combination of so many of my favorite tropes. Childhood friends to lovers, brother's best friend, and fake fiance all come together for this sweet romcom. Summer and Oliver couldn't have been cuter together and I loved all their shared history. They knew each other so well and have supported and been there for each other time and time again. A comedy of errors and good intentions tests their restraint and forces them to face their buried feelings. I loved seeing Summer and Oliver get tangled up in all their fibs and slowly realize what's always been right in front of their eyes. Things wrapped up a bit quickly at the end, but the epilogues were adorable and brought the story full circle. I'm excited for Fitz and Logan's stories next!

Andi Arndt and Shane East were wonderful together and the duet narration was fantastic. They have such wonderful chemistry and complement each other so well. Their fireside chat was a fun addition and a great way to get to know the narrators a little better. Joe Arden and Kit Swann were also amazing in their cameos/supporting roles. Make sure to listen all the way to the end too, so you can hear all the bloopers! Every Lauren Blakely audiobook is always so perfectly cast and is such a treat to listen to.

I love BF to lovers

This was a really fun book , Summer was trying to win a contest so she could open her gym. Oliver needs to keep a new client And her contest entry puts that at risk so why not pretend? Well there story is great the only thing that I wish was different was how it wrapped up I jumped kinda fast to the end just wish there was a little bit more in depth info from a to b but still loved the book !

excellent

the bloopers show that this group actually takes this seriously. They realizes that the narrators ARE actual actors, they rehearse, they put themselves into this as a job and not a hobby. I love them.

A great listen, as expected!

Great read, as usual - what else do you expect from Lauren Blakely?

As usually, Lauren Blakely not only gives us two stellar leading characters that you absolutely adore and root for, but she gives us a supporting cast that makes you wish they were really, and they were your friends. Dear Sexy Ex-Boyfriend is the start of a new series, and it's a trope-a-pulozza - there's some friends-to-lovers, some brother's best friend, some fake relationship, and all around fun, joy, heart and heat.

Oliver and Summer have been friends since high school, and they go together like peas and carrots. They know each other so well, that just about the only thing they don't know is each other in the physically-intimate sense. When Summer's writing lands her in hot water, Ollie comes to the rescue to help them get out of their sticky situation.

This novel definitely lives up to the exceedingly high Lauren Blakely standards. Witty banter and wicked humor, an evident deep and lasting bond between the main characters, amazing friendships that feel real - it has it all. And you're hard pressed to find an author that writes more authentic-feeling friends-to-lovers novels.

Shane East and Andi Arndt are fantastic narrators, and one of the best pairs in the genre. You know they'll bring emotion, passion, humor and a real connection when they narrate together.

My Thoughts on Dear Sexy Ex-Boyfriend

I love a good friends to lovers story. But Dear Sexy Ex-Boyfriend is a great one.

I loved Summer and Oliver. Their friendship was time tested and strong, but so is the attraction they've been burying. They both had very strong and likeable personalities. But they are best together.

There were so many great elements to this book. The letter, the Twitter comments, the random people who engage Summer and Oliver in conversation. It was all fantastic.

There were some sad moments but it wasn't angst heavy which I appreciated. This was just an entertaining, well written, feel good read. One I highly recommend.

And the listening took it to a whole new level. Shane East and Andi Arndt were fantastic. I especially loved the bloopers and Fireside chat at the end of the great story.

A Funny, Sweet, and Steamy Romance

You can’t go wrong with Lauren Blakely. Her books always deliver and Dear Sexy Ex-Boyfriend is no exception. But what makes this even more fabulous is the duet narration featuring Shane East and Andi Arndt. I especially love the interview with the narrators and bloopers at the end.

Fantastic book with Phenomenal Narration

I listened to the audio of this book and absolutely loved it. The narration was phenomenal as always. I might have an unhealthy obsession with Shane East and I’m totally ok with that.

This was a fantastic friends to lovers story. I loved how they both saw each other differently for so long but chose not to say anything so that their friendship wouldn’t be jeopardized. These two were perfect for each other. Couldn’t love this book more. Can’t wait to start The What If Guy.

A Delightful Listen!

I've probably said this in other reviews, but I always seem to have a smile when I finish listening to Lauren's books. Her writing it spot on with her narrators, and Shane and Andi were perfect as always.

Oliver and Summer

I loved this book! Lauren Blakely is wonderful at pulling me in with her witty banter, top narrators, steamy story and endearing characters. The humor was spot on, the details added so much.
Andi Ardnr, Shane East, Joe Arden, and Kit Swann all add to the enjoyment.

So Cute!

I love the love! It's such a cute story and of course everythings better when Shane East says it. Over all, all the voices nailed it and this was just a great book.
