Lauren Blakely
An updated version of this title was released on 6/3/24. Customer reviews prior to 6/3/24 relate to the prior version.
An all-star production of a brand new standalone romance from #1 NYT Bestselling author Lauren Blakely, performed by a full cast of twelve narrators: Andi Arndt and Sebastian York, with RC Bray, Jason Clarke, Shane East, Christian Fox, Dion Graham, January LaVoy, Erin Mallon, Robin Miles, Savannah Peachwood, and Julia Whelan. This audiobook also includes an exclusive backstage conversation between Andi Arndt & Sebastian York!
The one unbreakable rule in the Man Code is this: no matter how beautiful, smart, and clever she is, do not fall in love with your best friend's woman.
Yeah, so I screwed up big time when I fell for her. I might have let my sin of unrequited love slide, given everything that went down in the last few years, but Lulu just walked back into my life as vibrant as ever.
And the cards are stacked against me once again. We're working together, and the last thing I want to do is mess up her life with a forbidden office romance now that she's finally got the fresh start she deserves.
Trouble is, she's even more irresistible than ever, and this time around I'm not sure any code can hold me back. Even if I stand to lose everything...
Performed by Andi Arndt and Sebastian York as Lulu & Leo

She has worked both for major publishers and best-selling indie romance authors, providing her calm, cool delivery to a diverse range of titles. She also serves as Executive Producer of Lyric Audiobooks. Loved the cast of characters

I am a huge fan of Lauren Blakely's writing and Birthday Suit reminded why I fall in love with every character she writes and every version of Friends to Lovers she spins. This particularly story gives all the feels and is bound to send you straight to Tingle Town after you visit its neighboring city Tearville because, yes there are teary moments.
What I love most about Birthday Suit is the production. When I say it has all the qualities of a radio drama, trust me, I tell no lies. With a cast of twelve amazing narrators, you are sure to embark on a journey that is like no other. In fact, after you listen to this book you'll by LIVING (not dying because that would suck) to seek out every other book each of the narrators who performed. And yes, you'll spend lots of money.
One last note, KINGSLY was my 2nd favorite character. Wait, no Jenny or is it Ginny? Wait no definitely.... oh well I cannot single out one.
Birthday Suit is PERFECTION and definitely needs to be nominated for an Audio in 2020. It is by far the best audiobook of 2019! I cannot wait to hear what else she accomplishes this year. The bar has been set!
AUDIOBOOK WAS SO GOOD I HAVE NO HEADLINE...

This book not only had Sebastian York and Andi Arndt doing Leo’s and Lulu’s voices throughout the whole book (regardless of POV chapter), but also had a whole cast of other narrators playing individual characters. It was truly magical.
Good narration can only take you so far though. The story that Lauren Blakely tells in Birthday Suit is really well put together. It is funny (loved RC Bray as George), thoughtful, and clever. I listen to a LOT of romance novels and still found myself surprised with some of the plot points.
Overall, story and performance really do deserve a 5 star rating. I hope Ms. Arndt’s recording studio puts more of these ensemble cast recordings together. Thank you for making a good reading experience, a great listening experience.
This is how every audio book should be recorded.

The story was super cute and super enjoyable by itself but having the full cast to narrate each unique part was so much fun!!
The epilogue was adorable and perfect!!
I loved the sneak peeks to the upcoming books and the outtakes were so much fun!!
Lovely Story, Epic Performance

This was such a great cast of narrators and they all brought their ‘a’ game to this narration. I think I’m ruined for any audiobooks going forward. If you’re a fan of audiobooks you NEED to listen to this story. Even if you don’t do audios, you NEED to listen to this story.
As far as the story plot goes I loved Leo and Lulu. They have know each other for a very long time but certain circumstances have kept them apart until now.Leo and Lulu had some insane chemistry and I loved the banter between the couple and seeing them fall for each other. I also loved the secondary characters and it felt like I was with old friends!
In typical Lauren Blakely fashion she was able to create a cute romantic story that will make you laugh, pull on your heart strings and leave you smiling when it's all over. I was so sad when this book was over and I definitely be re reading this book in the future!
Great Audio Production!

Thank you Lauren Blakely for yet another amazing book that has a way of making me feel so many emotions.
Outstanding!

This was so sweet (in more than the chocolatey) way ) and sexy and soul gripping.
My God Leo but Leo is amazing. He fell in love with Lulu the day he met her or close to that day. But she also met his best friend then and he asked her out before Leo did and that was the end of that. He stayed close with both of them being loyal putting his own heart aside and that won my admiration.
Years later after Lulu's divorce and the death of her husband, they enter each others life's unintentionally and the spark never left Leo, something Lulu had no idea about. While working together these two become close and it just had me swooning. Let's face it the truth of his feelings have to be revealed. Now will it make or break them? Even though I'm making this sound all sad it's way more than meets the eye. Lauren Blakely can not have any book without a fair amount of humor that she mixes in. Never a disappointment, just the anticipation for the next book and the next book and so on and so on and so on :)
Love the full cast of Narrators~
