About this listen

Meet Annie Hart: newly inherited yarn and tea shop owner and reluctant amateur sleuth.

Annie Hart, daughter of Bryan Hart—talent agent to the stars—spends her life getting roped into whatever new task her father needs her to do for his VIP clients. So when she inherits a yarn shop in the small Indiana town of Franklin, she is curious to see what it feels like to have something that is solely hers!

But when her arrival is greeted by the local law enforcement, Annie senses things are not quite as they seem in this idyllic town . . . everyone knows everybody in Franklin yet when it comes to the death of the shop's previous owner, nobody seems sure of anything!

Annie soon discovers that Eleanor Danton was in fact murdered, strangled with her own yarn . . . invigorated by her need to find out the truth, and feeling somehow at home with the friendly bunch of local yarn artists who frequent the shop, she sets out to finding the killer. Much can be achieved over a cuppa and a yarn . . .

Listeners who love super cozy culinary mysteries will eat up this new charming cozy mystery series.

I love mystery books, the mystic cat was very compelling. I do wish more was done with the cat. Kept me thinking about what was really going on a lot longer than most books.
I can not wait for the next book.

There will be another book right?

kept me guessing

Betty has not written a book that I have not loved - and this is no exception. Also, Margaret the narrator, gets a thumbs up from me - I enjoyed listening to her performance.

Everything about this story is my jam. The slow small town feel. A unique building turned into a yarn shop. Yarn, tea, and mystery books in the yarn shop is a dream come true. The characters are likeable and develop over the course of the story.

I hope this becomes a series and that Betty is writing at the speed of light.

I felt the climax was not highlighted enough and the story just wasn't as good as her previous novels. still a favorite author but this one wasn't my favorite.
