Publisher's summary

There's something otherworldly about Alexander Claybourne. With his dark, arresting features and mesmerizing eyes, the seductive stranger looks every inch a vampire. Kara Crawford laughed at local talk of creatures lurking in the dark. She never imagined Alex was one.

Kind of a snooze!

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Nope

Would you be willing to try another one of Bobbin Beam’s performances?

Definitely not

Any additional comments?

This book started out as your run of the mill vampire fantasy, but then quickly turned into something much much worse and much cheesier. The romance in this book tries way too hard and feels so underdeveloped. Made me cringe at times.

Not to mention the narrator sounded like an automated monotone throughout the whole book. No inflection, no excitement.

Don't buy, waste of money

I did not like this book. The characters are wishy washy and the author failed to explain what happened with certain characters. This could have been a good story but very poor execution.

Could not finish

The premise of the story was interesting but it was so annoying to have the main characters constantly back and forth on everything. Just pick an emotion and stick with it. And the begging she did to have him love her… yuck. Unfortunately, a big part of my dislike of this book was the narration. Very whiny, odd inflections that don’t coincide with the words or emotion. I really tried to finish this book but I couldn’t listen anymore and stopped with 2 hours left.
