About this listen

What clever woman would want a man like Lord Harry Desire? Why, he was clearly a lummox - languid, vain, and bland. Not even his beautiful face could redeem him. But he stood to inherit a vast fortune, and that was good enough for Deirdre's father, a spendthrift vicar who arranged the match to rescue himself from imminent financial collapse. Leave it to Deirdre to contrive an escape, a quick elopement with her one true love, the dashing Guy Wentwater.

But Wentwater's love proved none too true, and Deirdre found herself in a humiliating pickle. Not even Lord Harry would marry her now. But Harry had more tricks up his tailored sleeve than Deirdre ever imagined. And soon she pined only for the marriage thrown away, and for a man whose arms had grown suddenly irresistible!

Would you listen to Deirdre and Desire again? Why?

I would listen to this book if I was reading the This six sisters. It was a good book.

While I liked the first two books in the series, this was insipid and uninteresting for the most part. Not sure I would recommend it, even as part of the series.

Not very interesting....

So far for me this is the best story yet. Enjoyed the characters, the narrator was very good, I laughed out loud many times and didn't want the story to end! Great job!

A Truly wonderful story

Once again I have listened to another story of the Armitage sisters. I honestly don't know why I am still listening to these books but I can't help myself. And again no surprised Deirdre is vain, self centered and thinks only about her wants and needs. However, I must say with the greedy Vicar for a father and a mother who is always faking illness (in my opinion) what else can we expect? As a vicar's daughter, should you even be sneaking out to meet a man at night? What is going on with vicar's daughters?? Did I miss something in the church? Oh well, onto the next chapter.

Okay

Characters are well drawn, but it is of the genre that after you read one or two, it's just fine, you don't need to read this format over and over and over. Lesser Jane Austin also rans.

Silly but okay.

This is definitely my favourite in the series thus far. The ending really makes it adorable.

Seriously. This girls voice is the very epitome of the word awful. Do the people that produce these audiobooks ever actually listen to these people? Her voices are terrible and she pauses in the middle of sentences. Oh, and did I mention how awful she is?

Why and how did Charlotte Anne Dore become a narrator?

The Six Sisters series has not been the best Chesney series I have listened to The six sisters are all addle-headed, simpletons who cannot get keep from adoring themselves in a mirror. The male main characters are interesting and that is why I keep listening to this series. I really liked Lord Harry and his cool, calmness.

Not the best Chesney series

I listen for entertainment. I couldn’t keep track of who or what or where. Not for me.

So convoluted.
