About this listen

Why do monsters want to kill me? My friends are dead, and I’m next. I’m sure of it until I meet Draven. He promises to keep me safe, but he’s hiding a devil in his blood. I should be scared, but I’m intrigued. I need him on my side, but I want more than his protection. Passionate kisses. His arms around me. Everything I’ve never dreamed of having before. He’s hotter than any man I’ve ever known. And I’m just me. Plain. Regular. The girl no man wants. But he’s not really a man. He’s a dragon. And he’s part demon, too. He might be as much of a monster as the ones coming after me. But I can’t believe it when he holds me tight. I know I’m too plain to ever be enough for him, but I can’t let him go. But if I try to keep him, his demonic blood could destroy us both. Fantasy Fiction Paranormal Paranormal Romance Romance Dragons

AI voice was bad

I like the story, but the AI voice made me skip ahead in chapters so I could hear the ending of the stories. This is a book that I would’ve rather read than listen to the computer read it.

Good story. AWFUL narration.

I knew this was virtual voice narrated when I got the series. It was free with my membership so I gave it a try. The narration is BAD. I listened to the first book because I liked the story but will not listen to the next 2 books. The narration does a disservice to the story. I will never pay money to listen to virtual voice books.

Virtual Voice is bad idea

This story line was great, or I would have shut it off right away. The virtual voice mispronounced some words, and totally missed the nuances of the writers words.
But the story was really good.

great story, horrible reading

I'm pretty sure it's an AI voice, very monolog. I only got thru book one, couldn't take the voice anymore. the story is good though, I think I will buy the physical books and read it instead of listening.

virtual voice kills any potential

the story is lacking in many ways. it seems like there are a lot of partially fleshed out ideas and pointless pursuits without adding much to the story. it seems rather juvenile and superficial. the virtual voice seriously ruins any potential the already lacking book has. total lack of emotion, mispronouncing words, and often stilted pacing really make this experience unenjoyable. I'm barely into the second book and I'm forcing myself to stay with it because I don't like not finishing things. this is bad enough I'm not sure I'll make it though. don't bother.
