About this listen

The cat-and-mouse game between professional assassin Dmitri Dzerzhinsky and FBI Special Agent Thomas Dalton may be developing into something more, at least for Dmitri. Blurring which side Dmitri's on can't continue. Hoping to get rid of his desire for Thomas, Dmitri goes to 1Night Stand for help.

Unaware of the assassin's interest, Thomas is attracted to Dmitri as well. So, discovering Madame Eve has given the Special Agent a night with the man of his dreams seems too good to be true.

Sometimes it's dangerous to get what you wish for. Can two men on opposite sides of the law find common ground beyond their mutual attraction?

It's the beginning of our permanent Christmas

The only fault I could find out with this book is that this is a short story rather than a full length novel. 😁 Damn, this is one damn good story. ❤️ I admit that the reasons I bought this audio is pretty vain. 😅 I heard Greg Tremblay did a British accent in this one and I have never heard of him doing it. So I bought this audio without even reading the blurb and let me tell you guys, the best decision I ever made. 😍 Susanne Saville definitely knows how to weave an amazing story. 👏

Dimitri has an itch that doesn’t seem to go away no matter how many times he scratches. And that itch aka the bane of his existence is Agent Thomas Dalton who has been trying too many times to catch him and put him away. Despite being on the opposite sides of law and order, Dimitri can’t deny how much he wanted Thomas. So he decided to get the next best thing if he couldn’t get real Thomas. A one night stand with a man who will look very similarly to Thomas in a discreet location where nobody will know him. And to his delight or rather dismay, Dimitri is going to find out that he’s going to get the real genuine Thomas rather than a replica one night stand. 😉

OH MY GOD!!! 😱 How much I loved this little gem! 💎 How Susanne Seville managed to pack so many emotions in an audio that only lasts over an hour, I’ll never know! ☺️ I admit that I didn’t hope for much when I went into this story. I though this was going to be a really hot erotica at best but my my my, I was quite blown away. 💜👏 Dimar’s complex and intricate character and how sweet, loving and understanding Tom was! Damn! That was dreamy and so hot! 🥰🔥 I really loved everything about this and wish I got a full length novel instead of this shortie little gem. 💜 The ending made me smile like a loony. 😁 Loved it so much and would recommend this to anyone who loves enemies to lovers trope. 🔥

Deliciously Dirty little snack!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Of course. It's fantastic! Great story, characters and narration.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Dimi actually. I feel like there could have been an entire full length novel on him and what he's been forced to become.

Which scene was your favorite?

The strawberries and champagne.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Dimi finally, fully let his guard down.

Any additional comments?

FBI Agent Thomas Dalton and Hired Gun Dmitri Dzerzhinsky are on opposing sides of the law, and justly so, they should despise each other. Not so much though. Since the day Dmitri saved Tom's life a mutual attraction formed, and now they seem to have found a way to scratch the shared itch. Madame Eve from 1Night Stand to the rescue. Each man asks for one night with the person that has filled their dreams and almost every waking thought. For Thomas, that's Dmitri... and Dimi is so taken with agent that he risks everything for just one night. But what will happen when the sun rises?

Short, sexy and oh so steamy. Narrated by Greg Tremblay, the first time I've listened to an English/British type of accent from him, me likee! Very well written and put together, and even though the story was so short, there was still enough of the story to pull me in and get me invested in these two characters. The attraction and anticipation were magnificent. If you're looking for a deliciously dirty little snack, this should be right up your alley.

Excellent performance

Despite the short length and delightfully fluffy nature, the narrator's skill (particularly with accents) was undeniable. Bravo!

More Please!

This is the first time I have read/listened to anything from this particular author. Had it not been for the audible romance package, I probably would have never tried it out.

The story involves two rivals who through chance, come together for a one night stand. It was a fantastic story - i only wish that it was longer.

Greg Tremblay - as always - gives a great performance here.

Great narration, good story

I think it's been said before, but I'll say it again -Greg Tremblay is an excellent narrator. He could read a dictionary and it would be interesting:)
The story was good, and while I wish it was longer, it packed a lot in. Definitely worth a buy!

The Russian accent sounds like an English accent?!

Would you consider the audio edition of Desert Tryst to be better than the print version?

I only listened to the audio, which had great narration - other than Dimitri is supposed to be Russian and it sure sounded like he had an English accent. I like that we got the point-of-view from both Dimitri and Thomas.

Would you be willing to try another book from Susanne Saville? Why or why not?

I would if it's an m-m romance, but I think this may be her only m-m to date. I liked this story and think it would be even better if it was longer and had more plot development.

Have you listened to any of Greg Tremblay’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, I listened to 3 of his First and Forever Series books by Alexa Land. He did a great job in those books, which had a lot of other characters and accents, all handled pretty well (except he didn't quite get the Hawaiian accent right in The Distance).

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes ... and I did listen to it all in one sitting because it was only 75 minutes long.

Any additional comments?

Considering this is a 75-minute audiobook, it is a satisfying story that packs a decent amount of character development. But it did leave me wanting more - which I guess is better than wanting less! ;-)

Enjoyable

What did you like best about Desert Tryst? What did you like least?

I liked the two characters. I thought Susan did a good job on building their relationship.

What does Greg Tremblay bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I love the accent. It's spot on and it really made the story for me. I love the facets that he put into it, that you don't always read the same way.

Any additional comments?

This was a quick and enjoyable story. I listened to this as an audio book and really enjoyed it. Dima and Tom are good characters and the narrator did a great job with the accents for them. I liked the story. It's short and so it pretty much just focuses on their relationship and their figuring it out.
