Publisher's summary

Overrun and forced to escape the killing grounds of Fort Indiantown Gap, the survivors of the 10th Mountain Division once again find themselves on the road, in search of sanctuary from the threat of the reekers.

With a new plan in hand, Captain Phil Hastings, Master Sergeant Slater, and the acting president of the United States, Henry Cornell, lead their group of remaining forces toward Fort Bragg, NC, in an effort to enact Contingency operations that will save the United States from the clutches of the dead.

Meanwhile, Sergeant First Class Carl Ballantine, Staff Sergeant Guerra, and the remnants of the 10th Mountain Division join the National Guard and surviving civilians as they head west. Their destination: the fortress city of Colorado Springs.

Each group has its own mission...yet they are both inextricably linked. If one fails, the other is doomed as well. Hastings needs to save the nation, and Ballantine and the remnants of the storied 10th Mountain need to save Hastings. The only thing that is clear in all of this is that everyone needs to be saved...from the ravenous reekers.

Hot Cheese! Hot Cheese!

Was looking to start another Zombie series after listening to all Arisen titles. The only disappointment was there’s only 2 books for this series. R.C. Bray makes it hard to listen to anyone else! I can’t stand him! I joke I joke.

Favorite Military Zombie Series

Great story and characters. Authentic interaction between soldier makes this a great read for veterans. Can’t wait for the next one, better not take another four years.

Missing Something

I was so excited to see this second book. I listened to the first one over again and then started this one. I was disappointed in the ending of the first book that the team got separated. When I started this one I was hoping for more of the same good storyline, but it fell short and the "light fighters team" is still missing their actual captain. I definitely LOVED the first book. This one for me it was just good.
I am hoping the Authors go back and look at what they accomplished in the first, and come back with amazing in the 3rd book.. I would definitely appreciate better writing and mixing back and forth more if the team has to be separated. I just like the dynamics of the military and the Zombie Apocalypse! Very exciting!

finally less liberal

great story and the great news is less political stuff in the story as the author in his other books makes it well know he hate liberals. since I'm a military veteran and liberal it would take me out of the story. I still have a 1hr left but I only heard 2 liberal jokes and the main one was about Hillary and even I don't like her. great story and he eased up on the dumb black dude and gave him a bit of character rather then a one note mess up

Pretty decent

It's a good continuation to a book series that I thought was dead. Some parts of the book where hard to follow. Buy all in all, it's very enjoyable
