About this listen

How did our long-lost ancestors affect our past? More importantly, how will they affect our future?

Mark and Julie are brilliant scientists and Major Reagan has kept them and others alive to this point, but the most dangerous confrontations will not be with the Noridians, it will be with the Lower Houses of The Accord.

Destiny is a thought-provoking journey that will cause you to inspect your basic values. From what it really means to be human to wondering if there's room in the universe for God, it's also a fun listen.

Mind blown!

Always interesting to see intelligent philosophies matching much in the human condition with a setting outside normal expectations. Also, it matches my concept of religion. Sufficiently advanced technologies paired with genetically similar beings at a different stage in their evolutionary journey. I cant wait for book 3!

Even better than book one.

Second book picks up right where the first book left off as innovative and exciting. Only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because I think a republican political agenda is creeping in.

Creative and entertaining

I'm far from a religious person, and it was a bit unexpected hearing the story slowly unfolding to reveal more and more parallels to world religions. But it was done in a way that kept my attention and never once made me groan and want to leave the story. I'll be listening to the third book.

Book 3?

Great book! I hated having to wait a year for it though. Would be nice if I could find some information on the release date of book 3!

Different, has something for everyone

Easy listen with a much different narrative then my standard space Opera. A good story and easier to follow than book 1.

Really Good

Clear speaking.. not your normal sequel.. kind of wish it was more of a "stand alone" book as well as a sequel. We will be getting the next book 📚

Creative

I almost let a very angry atheist review steer me from purchasing, but so glad I stuck with the story. Rather than a radical right wing agenda type story, I found a creative merging of the main religions into a story line to something none of them teach, but was an entertaining story line.

95% cool sci-fi story; 5% weird libertarian rants.

With these books I finally gain an understanding of why some people like Twilight. These books were fun pulpy novels. Nothing more, nothing less. Every character is a Mary Sue. Every. Single. Character. It's sci-fi and even the human race is a Mary Sue- absolutely unique in the universe and while there are species that are technologically more advanced it's obvious that we're the best at everything. The entire galaxy is watching our birth into the stars. The heroes are without flaw and the villains are obviously evil and stupid. The women are gorgeous and the men are handsome. The main protagonist (the book is 1st person but rotates characters every chapter) is brilliant, right about everything, and no woman can resist his charms and he beds them within 24 hours. Seriously, even Ian Fleming would tell this author to tone it down a bit. I'd quit if the story weren't actually pretty interesting but no amount of suspension of disbelief will make you forget you're reading a book. 95% of it is really cool universe and an extremely well thought out political system and religion. 5% is weird neck-beard views on romance and libertarian rants.
