Simple but good !

Greg Dragon got a nice writing style, his books are easy to understand and have enough twists to make all his stories interesting and enjoying.
Using Tucker McDougall for narration is a perfect choice to go audio.

I fully recommend this series to all.

My honest review even so that I got this audiobook for free.

Great intro to a near-future dystopia

I had started with books 1 and 2 of the synth crisis and loved them. I saw there was a book 0 and hoped it would give more of a back story on the main character, Dhata Mays. I did not get quite what I was expecting, but did get an action packed introduction to the series, and a few hints into what drives the Dhata. This book was quite a bit shorter, a little more than half the length of the others, and it was packed from beginning to end with action. Overall a very enjoyable story.

The narration was rock solid, once again, and seemed to fit the story.

I received this book at my request in exchange for a fair and unbiased review, and I have voluntarily left this review.

Loved it!

This is my first Greg Dragon book but it will most definitely not be my last. I loved this book so much!!

First off, I loved that the world Dragon created used elements of other sci-fi, post-apocalyptic books like med pods, a drug called Stem, and zephyrs. Into this world, he added Androids that were synthetic humans and thus were called Synths. The Synths were low man out so there wasn't much sympathy, or justice, when bad things happened to them. Enter the incorruptible, sensitive cop named Dhata (HOW GREAT IS THAT NAME!) and the fun begins.

The narrator was insanely good. The story was well-written and the narrator just made everything special about it even more so. This is Book O and I'm now off to the next book in the series.

A great new sci fi series

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This was a great story along the lines of Blade Runner and Altered Carbon with synthetic people living among humanity. The main character, Dhata Mays, is an interesting character and I found him very engaging. This was a great introduction to the series.

Excellent futuristic noir

Dhata Mays is a very promising beginning to the Synth Crisis. Part futuristic/post apocalyptic adventure, part classic noir in the vein or the great Sam Spade.
The characters and setting were laid out in startling detail, albeit brief, in order to move on to the meat and potatoes of the story. Very much excited about the next chapter in the series.

The narration was excellent. The characters stood apart from one another and he pulled them from the page.

I requested a free review copy of this audiobook and I am leaving a voluntary and honest review.

AWESOMMMMEEEEEE!

Wow, cool futuristic thriller! Action-packed story, very well written and narrated. Loved it! Dhata is a complicated dude, and he's badass. He's a detective in a futuristic society trying to find a balance between good and evil to keep things from going crazy.... what a ride! Definitely interested in listening to more in the series, and now I'm on to the next one, The Judas Sypher. Yay! Very nicely done.

Android murders in Tampa Florida

Interesting detective story set In the future. An old style detective and a conspiracy to start a war with synths. And one man determined not to let it happen. The beginning of an engrossing series.

Riveting!

This story was riveting. Once it got started there was no pausing for me. The author did an awesome job of linking plots and characters so cleanly, I felt like I was living in the moment. Excellent genre visualizing a synthetic world in a familiar city.
