Publisher's summary

Exorcist Msgr. Stephen Rossetti has a very active caseload of demonic possessions, and in each case two vivid lessons consistently emerge: Demons possess or harass people in a myriad of ways (even when they do not enter a body), and they are defeated decisively by the power of Christ and His Church—and especially by invocations to the Blessed Mother.

In these chapters, Msgr. Rossetti gives us an inside look at the intense experiences of an exorcist. He shares, without hype or varnish, what it is like, on a daily basis, to face demons who revile, threaten, and sometimes spiritually “wound” him. He describes the healing power of Christ for the possessed and for the exorcist, and reveals amazing moments when Christ and His Church visibly triumph over Satan. The reader is afforded a unique glimpse into the world of angels and demons, and the struggles of the possessed and those who minister to them. In this stunning, edifying, true diary of an American exorcist, you’ll learn:

  • What demonic possession is, and is not
  • Common tactics of Satan and his typical lies
  • How God protects exorcists
  • The difference between strong and weak possessions
  • The hierarchy of demons (not all are equal)
  • What it’s like for an exorcist to face Lucifer himself
  • Why demons choke people
  • How demons fear and hate one another too

Enlightening!

Very good look into the workings of our exorcists. May God bless them all! The narrator was a bit slow speaking and monotone though. Overall it was a great listen!

Enjoyed the Content, Critique is on the Narrator

There were certain words that just stuck out to me like a sore thumb that distracted from the content. I realize it’s probably just me, so if you have the ability to overlook that, and this topic is of interest to you, go for it. Really interesting stories.
Some of the words that distracted me repeatedly:
Discern (dizzern)
Dominions (dominations)
Deuteronomy (Deuteromony)
Havoc (hav-OCK)
Recognizing (reck-a-nizing)
I’m convinced several names were mispronounced but I can’t be sure.

I don’t know how this got past the editors.
Again, most people are probably able to get past this without a 2nd thought. For me, I would have been better to have read this one instead of the audible version.

Excellent book!

A wonderful book detailing the very real work that Exorcists do, and how the devil is a mastermind at tricking us. But there is hope!
This is also very easy to read while not making the topic theatrical or scary, and being very straight forward.

Remarkable accounts of the true power of Jesus and Mary

This book is so well written and shows us the true grace of God. Msgr. Rossetti did a fantastic job explaining his day to day life as an exorcist and Catholic priest. This book has helped me grow my faith even stronger.

Wonderfully Insightful!

Very helpful in identifying Satan at work and how to nip him in the bud or grind him down if necessary.
