Father Carlos Martins
About this listen
In this pioneering book for believers, nonbelievers, and anyone curious about the supernatural, renowned exorcist Father Carlos Martins shares his real-life experiences with demonic activity and explores how we can remain safe against its power.
In his blockbuster podcast, The Exorcist Files, Fr. Martins uncovers the disturbing reality of the forces of evil in our world, guiding listeners through many of his most graphic encounters with demonic entities. In this groundbreaking book, he dives deeper into the nature of evil to expose its dangers and to help us understand how to remain free from its influence and control.
The Exorcist Files introduces us to the 2,000-year-old Catholic ministry of exorcism. As one of the most sought-after experts on the supernatural in the world, Father Carlos shares how evil looks for any opening in our lives–from witchcraft and pagan practices to pornography and even emotional trauma–with the purpose of causing us pain and destruction. He challenges conventional thinking and offers a sobering look at the spiritual dangers lurking in those modern practices that often disguise themselves as harmless. Calling us to vigilance and spiritual fortitude, he emphasizes the importance of religious literacy and practice as guides in a world where the line between the divine and the demonic is increasingly blurred.
Through compelling storytelling coupled with science, theology, and detailed analysis, this book invites us to:
- Uncover the reality and tactics of demonic forces that seek to disrupt our lives.
- Learn practical steps to recognize and guard against spiritual attacks.
- Gain valuable insights into the cosmic struggle between good and evil.
- Experience the transformative power of faith and the ultimate victory of Jesus Christ.
For believers and the spiritually curious, this eye-opening book invites us to explore, question, and deepen our understanding of the hidden threats lurking in our midst so that we can stay protected and walk confidently in faith.

Successful New York psychiatrist Richard Gallagher was skeptical yet intrigued when a hard-nosed, no-nonsense Catholic priest asked him to examine a woman for a possible exorcism. Meeting her, Gallagher was astonished. The woman’s behavior defied logic. This remarkable case was the first of many that Gallagher would encounter. Sought after today by leaders of all faiths—ministers, priests, rabbis and imams, Gallagher has spent a quarter-century studying demonic activity and exorcisms throughout history and has witnessed more cases than any other psychiatrist in the world today.

Story
When Father Gabriele Amorth died in 2016, he was the world's most famous exorcist, a legendary, miraculous chaser of demons. To the many he served, Father was a godsend, freeing them from years of demonic oppression; to others, he was just a crank an extremist priest who saw the Devil everywhere. In these never-before-published interviews, Father Amorth takes you into his private world, giving you a harrowing vision of his daily battles with the Devil. You'll encounter a solid Christian and a humble priest, one who jokes and takes life as God—or the Devil!—hands it to him.

Story
The biggest lie in history is about to be shattered. UFOs are real. In late June of 1947, three extraterrestrial craft were downed outside Roswell Air Force Base. Many more followed, revealing dozens of ET species and a Rosetta Stone to a new physics, an energy generation and propulsion system responsible for interstellar space travel. This new system could have easily replaced oil, gas, coal, and nuclear plants - and with them, the entire geopolitical and economic order on our planet. But a cabal of bankers, the military-industrial complex, and Big Oil stopped it.

Exorcist Msgr. Stephen Rossetti has a very active caseload of demonic possessions, and in each case two vivid lessons consistently emerge: Demons possess or harass people in a myriad of ways (even when they do not enter a body), and they are defeated decisively by the power of Christ and His Church—and especially by invocations to the Blessed Mother.

Demonic possession. Exorcism. Haunted Houses. Satanic Rituals. For most people this is the stuff of nightmares, horror movies, folklore, and superstition. For New York City police Sergeant Ralph Sarchie, it's as real - and dangerous - as midnight patrol…. A 16-year NYPD veteran, Ralph Sarchie works out of the 46th Precinct in New York's South Bronx. But it is his other job that he calls "the Work": Investigating cases of demonic possession and assisting in the exorcisms of humanity's most ancient - and most dangerous - foes.

Story
Researchers estimate that the average person will influence up to eighty thousand people over the course of their lifetime—or 2.8 people daily. That’s a stadium full of people whom each of us affects in ways positive or negative, sometimes without us realizing. What if we paid attention to this fact? Would we live differently? Would we lead differently? Would we put down our phones and be more present with the people in front of us?

Story
Hundreds of feet beneath the ocean's surface, a graveyard waits. Years ago, the SS Arcadia vanished without a trace during a routine voyage. Though a strange, garbled emergency message was broadcast, neither the ship nor any of its crew could be found. Sixty years later, its wreck has finally been discovered more than three hundred miles from its intended course: a silent graveyard deep beneath the ocean's surface, eagerly waiting for the first sign of life.

Worth every minute
I am always blown away by Father Martin’s experiences, and amazed by his faith and his bravery in confronting the demonic. I was introduced to his work through the exorcist files podcast and find it both interesting, and eye opening. This book is an excellent resource for anyone trying to learn about spiritual warfare. This books warns of the power of satan but it also teaches that the only true safety is in Christ.

No Stone Unturned!
Fr. Martins knows how to tell a story and he does it with knowledge, authority granted by Christ, and with a history of experience. Great read for those who want to shield themselves from the evil in the world.

How we can have evil spirits
Reminds of the book , The Screwtape Letters, in that it gave me a view of evil works and what happens on their side of the spiritual world. I even said some prayers they went through in the book.

Phenomenal
More practical guidance to avoid demonic influence on your life is provided in this book than in other exorcism books I have read, though they are all useful. Fr. Martins, who I realized after starting this book that I have actually met in person, is a great, perfectly paced narrator. And his writing is excellent.

Wow!
I’m completely satisfied with this audiobook. I hope it gets the attention it needs. People now at days believe in Lucifer more but not in Jesus. The majority is proud to not be spiritual. Once they hear this audiobook I hope that changes their minds entirely. Hearing how Jesus is the only one who rescues and restores all these souls no matter who they are. It makes me so happy I came back to Christ. I even bought the actual book as well just so I can have it in my library. Thank you Fr Carlos Martin for all your work and for defeating the devil and its snares each time you get. May GOD keep blessing you.

The book’s theology was profound, offering insights beyond what I learned in college.
What I truly appreciated about this book was how it reinforced my Catholic faith. The accounts of spiritual battles, the power of prayer, and the unwavering authority of the Church reminded me of the strength and beauty of Catholicism. It reignited a sense of pride in my faith and made me even more grateful to be a part of the Church.

Fantastic Book!
This was such a great book. I really enjoyed it and learned so much from it. So little is said these days about this aspect of the Christian religion and it is great to go so in depth with an expert in the field.
