Publisher's summary
Diary of an Artist in Love is an intimate new audiobook of prose poetry and music best listened to with headphones on and eyes closed. The Muse Frequency presents listeners with a calming and ethereal meditation on love. Throughout this profoundly serene and uplifting experience, the artist and sound designer gently coax us into a meditative state using Solfeggio frequencies and by communicating in the most direct possible way through a sacred one-on-one conversation.
Originally inspired by the work of diarist Anaïs Nin, The Muse Frequency aims to design an audio experience that feels confessional and personal. At the heart of it all, this wholly unique project creates intimate experiences meant for one listener, where they can close their eyes, shut out the rest of the world and drift off to beautiful places. (Please note: this recording includes music and sound design, plus the narrator speaks very softly, in hushed tones which have been compared to ASMR.)

How relaxing and enjoyable to listen to. I immediately feel calm!
Diary of An Artist in Love was a really unique experience for me. I had a chance to listen to the audiobook for the tour and I’m so glad I grabbed it! Audible includes a pdf of the book/ poems, so I enjoyed listening and reading along. I’ve never listened to any ASMR before which it was compared to, but it reminded me of the music that plays at spas. The poetry was beautiful and easy to follow, and even though I’m no longer in a romantic relationship with anyone, I still found the love poetry enjoyable and was able to apply it to love of other things apart from relationships.
I saw some other reviews talk about it being the perfect meditation background and I 100% agree with it. The narrators soothing voice immediately had me paying more attention to my body and breathing deeper ☺️

Different from anything I have ever listen to...
This is different from anything I have ever listened to. It’s like an audio art experience. While being emotionally immersive, it’s unapologetically hopeful and uplifting. “The Muse Frequency” is a mediation on love.
Listening to it, it brings you into a relationship. It feels intimate, like you’re hearing someone bearing their innocent soul to you. Like a guided tour into the world of love.
Put on headphones, close your eyes and drift away.

Would listen again
Diary of an Artist in Love is an immersive audiobook experience. The audiobook is about an hour long and it is so relaxing. The poems are told in a soft, breathy voice that took me a poem or two to get used to but once it was I found it very relaxing. It includes soothing background music to complement the poems. Each poem is focused on the theme of love. I would like to read the physical copy as I’ve read the illustrations are beautiful. I will listen to the audiobook again as I enjoyed it so much.

Amazing ASMR Poetry Experience
Overall: This was a beautiful book to listen to, relaxing, with vivid imagery. Highly recommend.
Narration: This is one of those books that listening to it elevates it - the accompanying music/sounds adds a relaxing atmosphere, and the narrator really makes it feel like you’re listening to ASMR. ASMR has been something I’ve never really understood before (maybe I was just listening to the wrong things), but I totally get it now. I just let myself drift away, enjoying the imagery that was brought to life.
Poetry: These were all just so beautiful. I don’t know how to explain it without having you experience it all for yourself. They’ve got a great vibe, and you just feel warmth flooding your body as each new poem washes over you in a gentle wave. I don’t know if it would translate the same over paper as it does with the spoken word, but I think it would get close.

Beautiful Sound Quality and Gorgeous Poetry
Quote:📖
Love is the beginning
Love is the beginning of the story
Love is the beginning of every story
Thoughts: 💡
This was a really interesting and enjoyable experience. There isn’t a story related per say, but the poetry is beautiful and elegant. It’s a meditation on love itself, the way we experience it and the life cycle of it. It really dives into the explanation of what we feel and how profound it feels.
Sound:🔊
I love the ASMR quality of this audio. The narrator provides a beautiful oration that’s paired with musical tones to inspire calm and meditation. It’s reminds me of something that I would listen to on the app Calm.

Incredibly relaxing
Diary of an Artist in Love
The Muse Frequency
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 stars
Talk about relaxing! I cannot tell you how many times I’ve listened to this one.
Reminds me of something that they play at a spa. There is soft soothing music that’s being played while the narrator reads the poems. She not just reading them, her voice is unique and almost a whisper or hushed type quality. It’s incredibly calming. It’s a very submissive experience. It does give me the ASMR vibes.
My husband, who has insomnia, cannot go to sleep for nothing. I told him to try and listen to this… Yes, at first, he thought I was crazy, and that it wouldn’t help. Well, the next thing I know he was sound asleep snoring. It helped him clear his mind enough to shut out all that excess, and he was able to relax and fall asleep. So yes, it’s extremely calming and relaxing.
It’s also helpful to know that it comes with an accompanying PDF of the poems. You just click the three dots on the upper right side of your screen, it’s the third from the bottom.
Highly recommended for anyone who needs to get into their Zen mode.

Meditate on Love of All Kinds
Proofreading books for Project Gutenberg has roused my interest in poetry, both from centuries ago and the modern day. So when I saw this audiobook on the book review site, I knew I had to check it out. It's unusual, and it felt a bit repetitive to me. The diaries of Anais Nin inspired the author, according to the blurb, but I don't know enough about those to know how much comes from that source, the author's experience, and others’ perspectives. I certainly recognized snippets from other sources. The audiobook is just a little over one hour long and is narrated by the publisher herself. Music plays in the background the entire time while she speaks, and I found it distracting; I believe it is meant to help induce a meditative state. Each sentence or longer idea starts with “Love is…,” and that is repeated so often it feels meaningless after a while. At times, the publisher seems to be talking about romantic love, while at other times the concept of love comes across as something larger, like a love for mankind (agape) or the divine. The author has a breathy, almost a little girlish tone to it. Despite its brevity compared to other audiobooks, I think it is best listened to in small chunks, as there are certainly large and small concepts to ponder and perhaps even savor. If you like the idea of, essentially, a semi-poetic reflection on love of all kinds, you may find this an enjoyable listen.
