Publisher's summary

Vivienne is one of “those” people, the kind who believes in love at all costs. Broken hearts are a natural product of that, and Viv is used to dealing with it by simply ignoring the ache and moving on to a new love. But this time, she can’t seem to shake the pain - until Carter comes along, handing out easy smiles and the kind of attention that makes her not feel so fractured after all.

Everybody knows Carter as this cool, confident, charismatic guy. He has a penchant for saying just the right things at just the right times, being just the kind of friend that’s needed in the midst of sorrow. But as he and Viv embark on what was only ever intended to be a friendship, the idea of Carter as the “perfect” guy is challenged, and the real person could very well just be the next guy to break Viv’s heart.

Old hurts are unraveled, familial bonds are tested, and hearts are put on the line in this story of two people who didn’t mean to fall in love.

Please note that this is a spin-off of A Crazy Little Thing Called Love and does contain major spoilers for that title.

A Love That They Didn’t Know They Needed

Although they didn’t mean to love each other they turn out to be perfect for each other. Their story was hard at times but in the end they worked it out.

Just the story I needed today!!!

Relating to Vivienne being so freely giving of her love and basically getting shit on, then her getting her unexpected happy ending was refreshing!

Emotional Moments

This one was so emotional. I liked both Carter and Vivienne. I could feel both Vivienne and Carter's pain, their sense of abandonment. It made me a little teary eyed. At least during Carter's conversation with his mom. Frenchie's conversation with her parents, not so much. I didn't much care for either of her parents.

I was glad Vivienne felt like the air was somewhat clear after talking to her parents. I did not see it that way. Her parents side of the conversation did not even feel genuine.

It was also kind of sad that Carter and Vivienne had to struggle through some issues in their relationship. They had such good chemistry, and a positive connection. I was glad they got their HEA.

I enjoyed the narration. Vivienne's French accent did become a little difficult to understand a couple of times. They narrators were able to successfully convey the emotions the characters were feeling.

I Loved This!

A lovely tale of two people looking for love, even though they don't think they want it. Carter and Vivienne are hooked from day 1, but for everything to get in their own way. I really enjoyed this.

Discover how to find love with a bag full of pain

Great! Love Story! Carter and Vivienne in my opinion reveal how you can be loved while dragging around a baggage full pain. Pain can definitely fuel the way we give love and receive love.

Magnifique!!!

Wesleigh is the bom dot com. Loved the accent and the super cute story! Sean was even on his A-Game with the accent.
