About this listen

My name is Sydney Lucas. I am smart, deathly shy, and 100 percent determined to make my own way in the world. Which is why I jumped at the chance to intern for Mr. Nick Brooks despite his reputation. After 10 failed interviews at other companies, he was the only one offering. Plus, everyone says he knows his stuff and surely a man as stunningly handsome as him can't be "the devil incarnate", right? Wrong.

Oh...that man. That freakin' man has got to go! I've been on the job one week, and he's insulted my mother, wardrobe shamed me, and managed to make me cry. Twice. Underneath that stone-cold, beautiful face is the evilest human being ever.

But I'm not going to quit. Oh no. For once in my life, I've got to make a stand. Only every time I open my mouth, I can't quite seem to muster the courage. Perhaps my revenge needs to come in another form: destroying him quietly.

Because I've got a secret. I'm not really just an intern, and Sydney Lucas isn't my real name.

Contains mature themes.

Hilariously sexy

narration was excellent she made me laugh out loud sometimes. I really enjoyed this conclusion to what happened to Henry's family in the last book and would love to hear more of her books as I can listen to them while I work.

You get answers for the previous book

This third book in the series is prprobably the best one. Know, going into this, that Sydney is one of the sisters to Henry Walton from books 1 & 2. The story about what happened is totally whacko, but it all makes sense by the end of this book. It doesn't justify what happened, but the reasoning behind the psycho doing what he did is explained. Great narration.

Good

I really liked this story. It’s a little crazy with the naked yoga and such but still worth reading!

What the hell

Listening to Sydney/Georgie and her self doubt is pathetic. I keep waiting for it to get better.

DNF

Georgie needs therapy and should have been fired. The story doesn’t make sense and is awful and her “pranks” were trying to kill or ruin this guys life even though she was a terrible assistant and “couldn’t talk” I thought the other two books in the series were ok but I stopped 1/4 of a way through on this one.

Digging at the bottom of the barrel

These are the most juvenile stories and swearing thrown in for what purpose, I dont know.

Clearly an adult didnt write these books and these arent meant for adults.

Luckily these were part of audible escape and so were all free with my subscription. I cant believe I wasted the last few days of AE listening to these. If book two hadn't ended on a slight cliffhanger I wouldnt have even bothered with this.

This author needs to read/listen to seasoned authors for how to write a story. But I guess she has her following because this dribble actually received a decent rating. I guess she knows her audience. But it def isnt me.
