About this listen

Alexis and Molly return to the Faery Realm, this time to confront monsters. Mutated creatures that move through the Wilds are endangering the fae and threatening the balance of the Realm. Meanwhile, another kind of monster is stalking Molly at home, sending her twisted little gifts as signs of his affection. With their problems bleeding into the Mortal Realm, Alexis and Molly have no choice but to fight back. Teaming up with the fae Monarchs, the girls venture into the Unseelie Court to find a way to defeat these demons. However, their new allies are just as frightening as the beasts they will be facing....

It benefits from its expanding cast

I liked Between Worlds well enough, but I loved this one. I have it in my head that I should like Alexis more than Molly, but I found myself super excited about all of Molly's chapters. It was a story that was bolstered by its expanding cast and narrative viewpoints rather than muddied by them, and also bolstered by its expandingly diverse cast, too. Now, I wasn't thrilled that Lark and Molly's relationship started with Lark being kind of a jerk to her, but they worked it out and now I like them. Keir and Alexis's troubles are similar but not so much so that it's the same thing happening over and over. I love Jaxith, I love Finch, I gotta know what happens next. Needless to say, I'm very excited about continuing the series.

Mortals, Fairies, and More

Alexis and Molly are best friends who have more in common then even they realized.

Alexis was the consort of the dark prince and Molly was was a halfling. They have many adventures in both fairy and in the mortal world.

It was a great listen and look forward to the rest in the series.

A middle adventure

This story takes us deeper into court and everything going on in the Faire Realm.... the production had way less issues this time which made listening that much better!! I can’t wait to find out what happens next!

loved it!

Jennifer Ridge is a new author for me. I really enjoyed the story. It had all the fantasy I enjoy and the author has a great imagination. The world building didn't leave me bogged down nor did it leave me confused. She added the right amount to put me in the world and a strong plot that kept me listening.
The narrator had good pacing and an easy to listen to voice.
