Publisher's summary

Cinderella retold: A human slave, a fae prince, and a Godmother who’ll grant any wish - if you pay the price.

In a world of fae, vampires and shifters, where magic is real and wishes can be bought and bargained for, Elle is on society's bottommost rung: She's human.

To make matters worse, she's also a slave, bound to her stepmother by magic.

Her only hope at freedom is to wish for it.

But the Godmother rules the illegal wish trade, and the price she demands is steep.

Elle has never been desperate enough to summon her.

Until now.

Kept me entertained which is hard to do

Loved it except the narration of the male voices. Kept reminding me of women trying to imitate poorly

Good listen

Really enjoyed the world the author built, and the character development and planning that went into this. So often with Cinderella stories it’s the same washed out trope of a damsel in distress meeting the prince and instantly falling in love so he can save her with a marriage, but there was some actual build up in this one. A few plot holes here and there, but overall worth the credit.

Great narrator! Fun take on Cinderella

I was surprised by these books, I think it was well written and the whole magical world was described well enough to picture. The story went smoothly and it was a refreshing and different take on the tale of Cinderella. Not too much romance so it didnt seem unrealistic, I liked the characters and how much time was spent on the beginning. You got to understand how much freedom really meant to her. Over all it's worth the time to listen to. The narrator MADE these books.

One of my favorite Rachel Morgan books

I absolutely love this book. I love El and everyone else. I love how El had so many struggles to go through out each book. I also love El’s and Dexes relationship. I think it’s so cute.
I also think Arielle DeLisle did an amazing job narrating this book as always. She portrayed all of the characters voices uniquely, and amazingly.

Great retelling.

Loved this take on the classic Cinderella story. Mixing in magic, vampires, shifters, a fae prince, and a fairy godmother, makes for an interesting twist to this tale. Loved reading the story though the complete collection. This story was very well written.

Amazing story, amazing narrator

This is the book that convinced me to get audible.. I had a free sample and fell in love, so I wanted to hear all of the stories.

You’ll always be on your toes. You expect one thing to happen, but then the author catches you by surprise. I always want to hear more, I’m always wondering wondering what happens next. It’s the most unexpected, fun, intense, amazing take on Cinderella.

The narrator is the BEST one I’ve ever heard. They have a different, realistic voice for every character, I’m shocked at their talent.
