About this listen

Someone is stalking the UCLA Medical Center - a depraved madman who is preying upon the staff, particularly those who are young and female. No stranger to the terrible ravages of senseless violence, E.R. Chief Dr. David Spier must keep the emergency room running smoothly and efficiently, even as his terrified co-workers wonder who will be the next victim. But when the monster himself is dragged into the E.R. in handcuffs - hideously burned, suffering, and begging for mercy - the nightmare is far from over...it has only just begun. A single act of humanity is about to unleash a bloody wave of horror that threatens to engulf everyone and everything Dr. Spier cares about. His most sacred oath as a healer has become a death sentence - for David Spier...and for a city under siege.

Great Narration

Scott Brick always delivers a great narration. I love his emotion and tension filled performance.

One of the best.

Not Gregg's usual fare.

I struggled to finish this one. The setting and storyline just did not grab me or keep me enthralled as I usually am with Gregg's stories.

Caution: tough material ahead

Yes, a very interesting story, but the material is a bit disturbing. Scott Brick is always a great orator.
The story is good with a few twists and turns.

Okay plot; great narration!

I was disappointed to learn this novel was published during the year 2002 and the audio version was released 16 years later. The plot is not up to Hurwitz's current standards. Scott Brick's narration is outstanding.

I look forward to the release of Book 4 of Hurwitz's Orphan X/Evan Smoak series on January 29, 2019.

NARRATOR ELEVATES STORY

The story "Do No Harm" tends to wander a bit during the first half but overall keeps the audiobook listener interested throughout. Scott Brick's narration was excellent, as usual.

Main character was kind of an idiot, in a bad way.

Main character is supposed to be a brilliant doctor. But he did stupid stuff all through the book that any reasonable person would avoid. I enjoy Greg Hurwitz books. But this one did not hold up.

Thought Provoking!

Brilliantly tells from many positions, the struggles of humanity and what it means to take an oath and what limits it imposes if you let it!

Not sure what the point was.

A lot of medical jargon with little context. Clyde was the bad guy but so what?

Not that crazy about it

Not that crazy about it. The doctor was just too stupid. Kept putting himself alone in extremely dangerous situations. Who in their right minds would do that?
