Publisher's summary

"Make some coffee. You'll read all night." Lee Child, number one New York Times best-selling author of the Jack Reacher thrillers, gives Diane Capri and her new Hunt for Jack Reacher Series two thumbs up!

Jack Reacher: Friend or Enemy? FBI Special Agent Kim Otto doesn't know what she doesn't know....

It’s been a while since we first met Lee Child’s Jack Reacher in Killing Floor.

Fifteen years and 20 novels later, Reacher still lives off the grid, until trouble finds him, and then he does whatever it takes, much to the delight of readers and listeners and the dismay of villains.

Now someone big is looking for him. Who? And why?

Hunting Jack Reacher is a dangerous business, as FBI Special Agents Kim Otto and Carlos Gaspar are about to find out.

Otto and Gaspar are by-the-book hunters who know when to break the rules; Reacher is a wanted man, and a stone cold killer when things get personal.

But is he friend or enemy? Armed with disinformation, they intend to find out. Only the secrets hidden in Margrave, Georgia, will tell them.

New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Diane Capri brings her insider knowledge to bear on her friend Lee Child's iconic character. The Hunt for Jack Reacher begins here. Have you joined the hunt yet?

"Full of thrills and tension, but smart and human, too. Kim Otto is a great, great character - I love her." (Lee Child, number one worldwide best-selling author of the Jack Reacher thrillers)

Tv show is better

It was good, several twists and turns, but not much about Reacher himself. Not bad.

Why?

I was all enthusiastic about reading this book, but what a let down. I get the idea of the basic storyline, but I have to ask why? The book started out pretty good but soon became boring, and I had to struggle to finish it.

Clever page turner

Clever premise, engaging cast of characters and authentic details—this series has it all! Looking forward to Agent Otto’s next case!

Pre-judge your target and ignore evidence

For an investigative procedural, there are many weaknesses. Kim and Carlos are not believable as FBI agents despite the agency's history of 1st: form your opinion without any evidence, 2nd: follow leads that only support your opinion, 3rd: demand local and state to back out

Entertaining

Could have been a great story and started well. I felt the middle went astray and the ending was rushed and poorly explained.

Entertaining

Great book! Very good storyline, excellent narration. Kept my mind busy & away from the complications of life while I listened. Thank you!

Found it boring

Not as good as Reacher novels. I was hoping Reacher was part of the story.

Narration inconsistencies

Interesting premise is you like reacher. Narrator was herky jerky with descriptions. Voice acting was decent though.

Lack of continuance

Felt like the author stole Lee Child’s characters. To automatically think Jack Reacher, Roscoe and Finley were bad was not realistic

Help I’m a little slow

The pace and humor is enjoyable. But the storyline as it relates to Reacher has yet to sink in. It feels like this is piggy back storytelling because I’m not sure how popular this series would be without the reacher hook.
