About this listen

He's the alien dragon shifter with the soul as black as night, and he's claimed me as his fated mate.

I was escaping from my stalker ex when they took me from Earth. Dropped into a hellish alien maze where all I am is potential food. Until I run headlong into a huge, smoking hot alien dragon, covered in golden scales and an ego which could light up a planet.

Draco rules the prison maze they call the Kirakos and he says I belong to him.

Do I get any choice? No.

Do I have any other options? Also no.

Am I going to let him win? Hell no.

I didn’t escape from one nightmare, just to replace him with another. If this alien wants me, he’s going to have to fight for my heart.

Only the more I get to know Draco, the more I realize I’m not the only one here with a past. He has everything to lose in the Kirakos, and now he’s at risk of losing me too.

And if a Sarkarnii male loses his fated mate it will be the only thing to break this powerful, dominant dragon shifter warrior.

Even after everything I’ve been through, I’m not sure I’m ready to break him. Not yet.

A spicy sci-fi romance from USA TODAY Bestselling Author Hattie Jacks explodes. An alien dragon shifter meets his fated mate in the one place, at the one time he least expects it. Enemies to lovers, this book contains one grumpy alien warlord, growls, snarls and plenty of 'mine'.

You will fall for Draco, he insists you do...

Awesome Narration

I love this book…I read it first and listened to it second. The narrator’s voice fits what I picture Draco’s was going to be and he did a good job with the FMC’s voice. I loved it and can’t wait to listen to the next book in the series.

Great story!

I love how adventurous this story is. Never a dull moment. I like how Draco doesn’t hide from his feelings when he realizes she is his mate. Love his protectiveness and always lets her know how he feels. The narrator for Draco voice was awesome. Deep and seductive but powerful and gentle at same time. A defiant read

Will keep you entertained

it's a good story, loved the world building, the characters are great, there is action, some 🔥 scenes. The only reason I give it 4 stars is that it started getting a bit boring in the middle, just power on trough for a while then it gets better. Will definitely get the rest in the series.

Wow what a treat!

The narration was inspiring. I do love the different accents found in Great Britain. I am not sure but I believe the main female character was abducted in Northern England. She did not sound Scottish but she also did not have the manner of speaking found around London. This added elements to savor when she spoke her dialog.
The world building was extensive. The prison was built into a Hugh asteroid some where in outer space. This really gets your imagination fired up picturing how this facility is put together or just how large it is.
The dragon shape-shifters are an intelligent race that have been stagnating in captivity. They needed to be revitalized. One at a time before they are united enough to get out of there.
Drac realises from the very start that everything has suddenly changed. It's up to him to guide the turbulence the way he needs it to go.
excellent book and start to a series!

Commanding Draco

What an awesome new series starter! This story was a great mix of world building, constant adventure and danger, high-quality spice, lots of new alien species, and some references back to a few old favorite villains. The Sarkarnii are the ones we met briefly in Warriors of the Citadel, and now we get to learn more about their species from their perspective, and find out what they have been up to since they left Kaeh-Leks. This story unfolds inside a prison world, and the challenges and triumphs are different and intriguing. Draco has all the best character traits of a Hattie Jacks’ male combined to give us a hero worth loving and drooling over! Amber is a wounded but feisty heroine, able to hold her own with and without Draco. Together these two are super steamy! Thank goodness fate (and Hattie) threw them together! Draco’s brothers are each special in their own ways, and I really look forward to future books focusing on them. This is another amazing series by Hattie Jacks!
