About this listen

‘Listen to them—the children of the night. What music they make!’

Bram Stoker’s masterpiece, in which the instantly recognisable Count Dracula plans to sate his dreadful appetites in England only to be thwarted by an intrepid band of friends, remains an enthralling story. Exploring themes of sexuality, religion, technology and good versus evil, and told through journal entries, letters and telegrams, its cultural and literary significance is undisputed.

it's no wonder this work has persisted as one of the greats since its publishing in 1897. The mystery and adventure is gripping until the end. Keeble's narration is amazing, and his portrayal of the character's personalities and emotions is some of his finest I've come across.

An incredible work

Bram Stoker may need no introduction in this incredible tale. Jonathan Keeble never fails to impress and make listening a joy. Thank you both even while separating you by over a century.

Jonathan Keeble is a class act

Well plotted, well written, gripping story. The text of the novel is “written” by its characters, in the form of journals, letters, etc., which allows the characters to read what the others have written, which sometimes moves the plot forward. The author rather brilliantly uses the characters’ late Victorian ideas about gender as a plot device. Keeble as always is a great narrator.

Great story and narration

A very talented and superior narrator makes the difference in this audible version of Dracula. Johnathan Kimble single narration offers an accelerating, and thrilling performance for each character in book. Even if you have listened, as I have, to other highly rated audible versions of Bram Stocker’s Dracula, this one is still highly recommended by me.
